Set on the edge of Manchester and within easy reach of the Peak District, My clients Clinic offers the best of both city and countryside. Just ten minutes from the city centre by tram, this RCVS GP accredited practice operates across four modern, well-equipped sites and works closely with charities demonstrating a strong commitment to the local community and animal welfare charities.
An opportunity has arisen for a confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team. This role would suit someone who takes pride in delivering high standards of patient and client care and who is motivated to continue building their clinical knowledge and skills. Nursing expertise is highly valued here, and the practice already supports several nurses who hold certificates. Ongoing learning and further qualifications are actively encouraged and fully supported.
You will be part of a large, experienced multidisciplinary team, working alongside a twelve-vet practice with a broad range of interests and specialisms. Current expertise includes dentistry and medicine, with ongoing development in imaging and dermatology, as well as support from a visiting orthopaedic surgeon. This breadth of knowledge creates a varied caseload and an excellent environment for professional growth.
The clinic places great importance on compassionate care and positive experiences for every patient. It holds Dogs Trust Dog Friendly and Fear Free Clinic accreditations and is progressing towards Cat Friendly Clinic status across all sites. A welcoming, supportive culture underpins the practice, with a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and retention. This approach has recently been recognised through an ‘Outstanding’ RCVS PSS accreditation for both Team and Professional Responsibility and Client Service.
Excellent facilities support the high standard of care provided, including DR x-ray, in-house laboratories, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental x-ray, tonometry, diathermy and multi-parameter monitoring equipment. These resources enable the team to manage a wide range of cases confidently and effectively.
The role offers a pro-rata salary of £28,000 to £30,000, depending on experience, based on a 37.5-hour working week. The rota is designed to promote a healthy work–life balance, with a shared Saturday commitment but no Sundays, no out-of-hours work and no bank holiday shifts. Annual leave includes five weeks plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days. Professional development is supported through a CPD allowance of up to £600 per year and up to three paid CPD days, alongside paid RCVS and VDS memberships.
Further benefits include discounted veterinary care for your own pets, structured career progression with regular development reviews, and a strong focus on employee wellbeing. The practice also offers company sick pay, enhanced parental leave, a company pension scheme,  benefits and access to a wide range of discounts, including retail and gym memberships. While the role is offered on a full-time basis, part-time working arrangements would be considered for the right candidate.
