Veterinary Surgeon – Maternity Cover (12 Months) - Leicestershire
This friendly and thriving small animal practice in Coalville is looking for a personable and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team for a 12-month maternity cover, starting in June 2025.
This is a part-time position with flexible hours — ideally between 15 to 25 hours per week — and includes a Saturday morning rota of 1 in 3. Whether you’re looking for a balanced consulting and surgical role or prefer consults only, we’d love to hear from you.
Led by two experienced partners the practice has grown steadily since opening in 2019 and has become a well-loved part of the local community. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of 4 vets — one of whom is currently working towards a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery — as well as 5 dedicated RVNs and 3 friendly receptionists.
They’re looking for a confident, approachable vet with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, who is comfortable with all routine surgical and medical cases. An interest in or knowledge of exotics would be a bonus, though not essential. Above all, they value strong client communication, teamwork, and a passion for delivering exceptional care.
•    A salary of up to £58,000 FTE (depending on experience)
