Registered Veterinary Nurse
Nestled in the heart of Easingwold, North Yorkshire, My client is a well-established independent, family-run practice with a reputation for providing outstanding veterinary care. The dedicated team of over twenty Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Veterinary Nurses, and experienced support staff deliver expert care for pets, farm animals, and horses, offering a complete 24-hour service built on compassion and professionalism.
They are expanding the team and have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or a soon-to-qualify student nurse to become part of the growing practice.
This is a varied and rewarding role where every day brings something different. You’ll be involved in preparing patients for surgery, assisting in theatre, and providing pre- and post-operative care to clients and their pets. Education plays a big part too — you’ll help guide owners on nutrition, preventative healthcare, and general wellbeing. You’ll also support the smooth running of the practice by administering treatments, assisting with animal restraint when required, and maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene in theatres, equipment, and consult areas.
They are looking for someone with clinical experience, ideally a qualified RVN, though also very happy to consider students close to qualification. A positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for patient care are essential — you’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative team that values teamwork and communication.
They invest in people so you’ll have access to a generous CPD allowance, paid RCVS membership, and continuous support for your professional development. They are proud to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every team member is encouraged to thrive.
The position offers a 4.5-day working week, with a 4-day week every fifth week to ensure a good work-life balance. As part of the role, participation in the out-of-hours nurse rota is required, so applicants should live within a 20-minute commute of the practice.
