Veterinary Surgeon – Aylesbury – No OOH | Up to £70k Pro Rata
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients thriving and well-established small animal practice in Aylesbury. This is your chance to become part of a highly motivated, ambitious, and supportive team that’s passionate about delivering the very best in client and patient care.
Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, this flexible role offers a fantastic work/life balance, with no out-of-hours or bank holiday duties, and a fair weekend rota of just 1 in 5. The practice is open from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and 10:30am to 3:30pm on Sundays.
You’ll be working in a busy, forward-thinking clinic where no two days are the same — from routine consults to more complex orthopaedic procedures. They are well equipped with cutting-edge facilities including digital and dental x-ray, colour flow Doppler ultrasound, bronchoscope, video endoscope, and a full orthopaedic kit. The clinical team are confident in both medical and surgical case management, but also take pride in knowing when to refer — always putting the patient first.
They are seeking a confident and personable vet who enjoys variety, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues. You’ll have clinical freedom to fully work up cases, and if you have an interest in orthopaedics, you’ll be in great company — one of our vets holds an advanced practitioner certificate and we’ve recently supported another team member in gaining a surgery certificate.
The practice is ideally located close to the heart of Aylesbury. With local bars, restaurants, parks and fitness facilities nearby, it’s a fantastic area to enjoy on your breaks or after work. If you want to explore further afield, Bicester Village and Milton Keynes are within a 45-minute drive, and London Marylebone and Oxford are just a train ride away. The Chiltern Hills and Grand Union Canal are also nearby — perfect for walking, cycling, or just relaxing in nature.
In return, they offer:
•    A competitive salary up to £70,000 (pro-rata, depending on experience)
•    Excellent career development and progression opportunities
•    Generous CPD allowance – encouraged and supported
•    Contributory pension scheme
•    Exclusive staff discounts
•    Company perks and reward schemes
•    A welcoming and experienced team of 7 vets and 9 nurses
Whether you're an experienced vet or a motivated recent graduate, if you’re ready to take the next step in your veterinary career surrounded by a fantastic team in a forward-thinking practice
