Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon – Essex
This busy small animal hospital in Essex is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join an Out of Hours team. 
This is a part-time role with an attractive rota of 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, giving you plenty of downtime. Shifts run Monday to Friday from 8pm–8:15am and weekends 6pm–9am.
The practice is ideally located with excellent transport links—just 25 minutes into central London, 20 minutes to the Essex countryside, and within easy reach of Stansted, City and Southend airports. Free on-site parking is also available.
You’ll be joining an established and highly skilled team of 14 vets and 18 RVNs, many of whom have individual interests ranging from medicine to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. With a generous CPD allowance, you’ll also be fully supported if you’re working towards or wish to pursue a certificate.
The spacious, purpose-built hospital is equipped to industry-leading standards. Facilities include two operating theatres, digital radiography, ultrasound, a full endoscopy suite, and an in-house laboratory. They also have access to CT at a nearby branch, and continue to invest in state-of-the-art equipment to provide the very best for patients.
They are looking for an experienced vet who is confident with sole charge, skilled in emergency surgical procedures, and comfortable managing a varied caseload. Strong diagnostic and medical abilities are essential, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to build great client relationships.
