Veterinary Surgeon (Medicine-Focused)
Veterinary Hospital – Cardiff, South Wales
Full-Time or Part-Time | No On-Call | Salary up to £70,000

They are excited to welcome a first opinion veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in medicine and imaging, who thrives in a supportive team environment and wants to grow their career in a hospital setting equipped for clinical excellence.

They operate a 24/7 hospital and ECC service, enabling continuity of care for clients and an enriching caseload for the team. You'll work alongside passionate clinicians in a forward-thinking environment that actively supports further study and clinical development.
This state-of-the-art hospital includes:
• Advanced ultrasonography and CT scanner
• Endoscopy and endosurgery facilities
• Extensive in-house lab including blood gases and TEG
• Dedicated theatres for orthopaedic, soft tissue and exotics
• Separate ECC wards, dental suite, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services

You are:
• An experienced vet with confidence in handling a range of medical and imaging cases
• A great team player, communicator, and mentor to junior vets and nurses
• Skilled in or developing your ultrasound and endoscopy abilities
• Ideally a certificate holder or Advanced Practitioner, or on that journey
• Committed to delivering gold-standard care in a dynamic clinical setting

The Role
• Up to £70,000 salary (DOE)
• Full-time (38.1 hours/week), part-time considered
• 4-day week, with just one 9-hour weekend shift (Sat or Sun) every 5 weeks
• One bank holiday per year
• No on-call – they have a dedicated ECC night team
• Fully supported and funded certificate/CPD study
• Clinical autonomy to work cases up fully in-house
