Small Animal Vet – Tier 3 Hospital (North West England)
Salary: £38,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
Full-time (Part-time considered)
This is a busy Tier 3 training hospital, fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including:
• Digital X-ray and dental radiography
• Ultrasound and multiple scopes
• CO? laser and laparoscopic equipment
• 64-slice CT scanner and 1.5T MRI scanner
Located within easy reach of Liverpool and Manchester, the hospital offers excellent transport links, including nearby airports, and is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside and the Lake District.
They work closely with their in-house referral team, offering a truly collaborative approach to veterinary care and a wide variety of interesting cases.
The Role
This role offers a great balance between hospital and branch work, giving you variety and autonomy:
• Around 50% sole-charge branch work, or the option for a dedicated branch-only role with hospital backup if preferred.
• Opportunities to consult, perform neuterings and small surgical procedures, and work cases up to a high standard.
• Support from a skilled team including certificate holders in medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging, with others currently studying towards their qualifications.
• A focus on clinical excellence, teamwork, and personal development.
Hours & Rota:
• 4-day week
• 1:8 weekend rota (either both Saturday & Sunday, or two Saturdays and one Sunday in 8 weeks)
• Some contribution to OOH cover for holidays/sickness
About You
Ideally looking for a confident and compassionate vet who enjoys both consulting and surgery, and is comfortable with some sole-charge work. Someone from the level of 12 months upwards
You’ll be a team player, passionate about patient care, and motivated to develop your skills alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive environment.

• Salary: £38,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
