My client is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a welcoming and professional team in the charming market town of Daventry. This is a permanent, full-time role offering 40 hours per week across four days, with either one in three Saturdays or one in six full weekends at our nearby Hospital.
The Daventry practice has a long-standing, loyal client base who value the personal, attentive service they pride ourselves on. You’ll be supported by a dedicated and friendly team who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to both clients and patients.
Centrally located close to the town centre, the practice is well-equipped with everything you need to provide top-tier veterinary care. Facilities include ultrasound, ECG, a dental suite, an in-house laboratory, and separate wards and waiting areas for cats and dogs, creating a calm and comfortable environment for patients.
As Lead Vet, you’ll take an active role in clinical leadership, helping to shape the practice’s growth while continuing to deliver high standards of care. You’ll have the autonomy to lead your team, influence clinical standards, and contribute to the overall success of the practice within the community.
From day one, you’ll benefit from private medical insurance and a health cash plan that includes cover for dental, optical, and physiotherapy services, as well as access to a 24/7 private GP. Life assurance is provided at three times your salary, and round-the-clock mental health support is always available should you need it.
You’ll enjoy five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to six weeks with length of service, along with an extra paid ‘Day for You’ to spend however you like. CPD is fully supported with a £1,500 budget and three days’ paid leave, and there are additional opportunities for funded certificates and internal learning through Clinical Communities.
All RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees are covered. Other benefits include a sabbatical after a qualifying period, an interest-free season ticket loan, a Cycle to Work scheme and full support with visa sponsorship and relocation if needed.
This role offers the perfect balance of clinical leadership and hands-on veterinary work in a friendly, supportive setting. If you're looking for a meaningful step forward in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
