Our client is looking for a competent and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join and lead this small, delightful, friendly, and efficient team on a full-time basis.

The clinic is a beautiful, light, and airy purpose-built SA practice in a small shopping centre located in Ashford. This role is based in the Ashford branch, but may occasionally extend to another branch nearby.  The surgery is well-equipped including in-house blood machines and digital X-ray. The team are open to new ideas and encourage input from every member of the practice. Over the years many of the innovative ideas that they have put in place to improve things, have come from staff members in different roles.  They pride themselves on providing excellent customer service and care for clients, as well as the pets of course. The team is made up of 2 full-time and 2 part-time Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 SVN and 2 Receptionists. Every member of the team has an extremely positive attitude and they make working a pleasure. The experienced and organised Head Nurse is an excellent leader of the rest of the team and a huge support to Vets. You will have full support from an excellent senior management team consisting of a Lead Veterinary Surgeons, Practice Manager, Clinical Manager and Reception Manager.

Day to day you will take care of consultations, surgery, and other procedures. The team are big on clear communication and always doing what they say, with high standards of care, great customer service and client continuity. They run 15-minute consultations and you will often have a nurse/student nurse available to help in consults.  This is a sole charge position with the support of 3 Vets at a nearby clinic.

Ideally, you will be available to work 4 days a week (they are flexible on which days) between 8:30 am - 6:30 pm and one in two Saturdays between 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience, plus £1000 Welcome Bonus
