Our client has an exciting and ever-expanding practice, located in beautiful Norfolk. They are now looking for a friendly vet to join the team.
They pride themselves on providing great service and care, maintaining high clinical standards and offering a rewarding and progressive career. They accept certificate-level referrals in a range of disciplines and have their own out-of-hours service on-site. They have excellent facilities, including laparoscopy, and have recently completed a large hospital expansion, which includes a CT scanner, dental suite and additional theatres. There are also 2 super branch practices, which offer a friendly local service to their loyal clients. There is a large team of 34 Vets with 8 new graduates, 41 Nurses and support staff. They are a nurse training practice and offer a structured 2-year programme for new graduate vets. A number of their vets and nurses have achieved and are training for certificates; there is an emphasis on ongoing development and learning.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a GP small animal Vet to join this friendly team on a permanent basis. This role is based at the busy first opinion and referral hospital alongside the fantastic team of certificate holders in multiple disciplines. The role will involve consultations, surgery, hospital and inpatient shifts, and emergency and out-of-hours care alongside the usual first opinion duties. The role will be tailored to suit the successful applicant’s level of experience.
Vets usually work between the hours of 8am – 6.30pm and most choose to work their 40 hours over 4 days, however, they are happy to discuss working patterns to suit you. There is a share of 1:4 weekends, including out-of-hours work on a rota-basis with the night and twilight team. The successful candidate would be required to work 2 bank holidays per year at the main hospital with time off in lieu for these shifts.
The team are enthusiastic and ambitious to continue to improve the services and level of care they can offer. They are a friendly and sociable group who love working together (consistent feedback from appraisals every year is that the best thing about the practice is the fantastic team, they enjoy monthly team meetings and regular social events and activities.
Salary for this role is up to £65k pa DOE and there is a relocation allowance of up to £5k if required.
