Our client is looking for an innovative Full Time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. This is a small but busy practice located near St. Leonards-on Sea with an established and loyal client base.

The clinic has a digital x-ray, ultrasound, dedicated theatre suite and separate kennels and cattery. There is a full team of RVN's, SVN's and receptionists, several who have been with the practice for many years. The practice opened in 2009 and have grown rapidly through recommendations from clients, resulting in an above average client to vet ratio.

The current team have 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 who is a Cardiology certificate holder, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and 3 support staff. They are looking for a Vet who is keen to bring their own ideas to the team but also adaptable existing ideals. Ideally you will be comfortable with all routine surgeries, medical work-ups and consultations and confident to work in a busy practice environment. The practice work with a couple of local charities and are part of the RSPCA Neutering Scheme for cats and bull-breeds.

The successful candidate will be working 40 hours across a 4-day week but there is flexibility on the rota available.  You will also take part in a 1:3 weekend Saturday morning  rota.  Salary is up to £70k pa dependent on experience, plus a £2k welcome bonus and a £5k relocation bonus if required.

You must be passionate about pet care and willing to work with clients to ensure their pets get the best care possible within any constraints they may have. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude to lead the team.
