Job Description:
As a Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will primarily be responsible for the healthcare and welfare of dairy cows, beef cattle, and sheep. This role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Conducting routine check-ups and preventative care for farm animals.
- Diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses.
- Providing herd health management and advice to local farmers.
- Assisting with calving, lambing, and other reproductive procedures.
- Conducting surgical procedures when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate records of all treatments and procedures.
- A qualified and registered Veterinary Surgeon with a focus on farm animals.
- Strong knowledge of dairy, beef, and sheep farming practices.
- Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for farm animal health and welfare.
- Willingness to work as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
