Our client in Skipton are an expanding Veterinary Hospital who has been providing veterinary care for over 80 years, successfully combining a traditional ethos of care with progressive modern medicine. The team are proud to be a referral centre for cardiology and soft tissue surgery. They have in-house laboratory, ECG, digital x-ray, rigid and flexible endoscopy, ultrasound with colour flow Doppler. 24-hour on-site nursing care, CPD and further qualifications encouraged. 

This client truly takes pride in caring for its staff, as well as patients, ensuring a good work-life balance. The team are down to earth and welcoming. You will be supported by multi-disciplinary certificate holders. The team are supportive of each other and look out for one another. The nurses are on site every day and night taking great care of inpatients as the team are pleased to offer their own out of hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team of 8 Vets, 13 RVNs and a welcoming admin and reception team, and get involved in a good mix of consulting and operating. Consults are 15 minutes. You will be working amongst the supportive team with certificate holders, RVN's on site 24/7, where case continuity is encouraged with lots of skill sets in practice to ensure a high level of care is always delivered. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced small animal vet who is already confident with the basics.  They client is open to tailoring the role to match your interest whether that's surgery or consults.

This is a full time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days per week. The core working day is 8.30am-5.30pm  and a 1 week in 6 on call between 5pm - 8.30am.  When working on call you are not required to work the the day shift rota.  The weekend rota is a 1:6 on call. Salary is up to £65 k pa DOE.
