Our client are looking for an experienced Vet who can work closely with a small team and act as Clinical Lead. You will be passionate about providing exceptional care to all patients, work well as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills. The team believe in investing in their people, surgery, facilities, equipment, and latest technology so that together they can provide outstanding Veterinary care for their patients and their owners. This is a full time opportunity working, on average, between 41-42 hours per week over 4 days, this includes a share of the Saturday morning rota. There is no OOH requirement with this role. The salary will be dependent upon experience and include 6.6 weeks holiday (including Bank Holidays), RCVS, VDS and two other membership subscriptions paid, 1750 CPD allowance plus 5 days CPD leave – more if you’re a certificate holder.     Our client near Bolton have a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Director to join their wonderful team. This is a full-time or part time position, working a 20–40-hour per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays (09:00 - 12:00) and no out of hours. This role involves working alongside the Practice Manager overseeing the general running of the practice along with a substantial amount of clinical work time operating and consulting. You will be responsible for practice leadership and for the efficient and profitable provision of clinical care. Mentoring and coaching of less experienced veterinary surgeons is also an important part of this role and for the right candidate this could be the perfect opportunity to mould the team to support your own vision of the practice. The practice has the reputation of being a friendly and competent practice that has been in the area for over 70 years, accruing many longstanding clients and members of staff. The team have created a pleasant working environment for both employees and clients and are a well-equipped Small Animal practice with their own in-house lab containing the latest Idexx blood and Sedivue analysers. They have an operating theatre, a very good ultrasound machine with colour doppler and digital radiography. Currently a 3 Vet team and hoping to expand to 4 Vets as soon as they have succesfully recruited. The veterinary team are supported by 5 fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurses, a team of 6 Veterinary Receptionists and a superb Practice Manager. The team don't have any specialists in practice but there are many locally which the team can refer cases to when appropriate. They also support several local charities including Destitute Animal Shelter, Pets in Need, Kitty Rescue, Westie Rescue and Barking Berry’s. The team are looking for someone who will continue to make the practice a pleasant working environment as this is just as important to the team as clinical skills. Ideally, the team would like the candidate to have some management or Clinical Director experience, but the role may suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to step up and learn the skills needed for a Clinical Director. You must be confident in clinical matters encountered in a small animal general practice and be able to lead and support the team, both clinically and non-clinically, and still have the enthusiasm and energy to help the practice and staff progress and flourish.     We have a fantastic opportunity for a role in leadership to grow and develop an amazing team in South Manchester. This is a 12-18 month Fixed Term Position. Our client are looking for a passionate individual and enthusiastic team player with management experience to join their Senior Management Team (SMT) with wellbeing at the heart of their ethos. The role is that of managing Clinical Director, working alongside the existing Clinical Director and overseeing the whole Group, reporting to the Business Development Director for the North West. The Group has 6 first opinion branches, an admin centre and new hospital that houses A&E, inpatient and multidisciplinary referral services. The A&E and referral services are provided to both internal clients and surrounding practice clients. The main responsibilites of this role is to foster the caring and supportive working environment, provide excellent customer care, and build on the high clinical standards across first opinion, referral and emergency work whilst undertaking the values of being approachable, respectful, collaborative, supportive and dedicated. This is a full-time position and you must have an inclusive and flexible approach to all opportunities, job-share and alternative working patterns will be considered, but it would typically entail: • 40 hours over a five-day working week • A mix of clinical and non-clinical work - to provide on ground support to our teams as well as day to day management and strategic business planning • Travel between the branches, admin team and hospital • Being available for advice and urgent decision-making requests • Visiting local A&E and surrounding referring practices to promote and develop the groups services • Salary circa 65,000 plus pa (pro-rata), dependent on experience. A typical candidate should have: • Significant experience in small animal Veterinary practice (10+ years as a guide) • Proven leadership skills, preferably with experience of having managed a team • Passion for supporting others and engaging in constructive communication • Ability to mentor and coach others • Desire to serve current client base and develop services further • Confidence in decision making, able to consider the business as a whole • Excellent judgement and analytical skills, preferably with experience in business operations and financial understanding (though training will be provided) If this role sounds of interest please email your CV through to [email protected] or give me a call on 01422 433900.
