    This client are looking for a full time vet to join their 10 vet mixed practice in beautiful West Wales. They have a supportive, caring and adaptable culture, provide great clinical support and actively promote and encourage a healthy life balance.

    This role offers the potential for you to expand your professional interests whilst helping grow the teams services. The team are passionate about supporting all of their vets’ interests and as such, are able to offer work within either their small animal or large animal teams, with an equine bias or a truly mixed role – the decision is yours.
    You would be part of a varied team of vets, RVNs, ANAs and receptionists that are committed to providing compassionate and professional patient care. The vets are a team of experienced small and large animal vets and some spritely new and recent grads, all with a variety of experiences, interests and backgrounds, including a certificate holder, Mastitis Control Plan deliverer and an AHDB Mobility Mentor. The nursing team comprises a certificate holder, dental and behavioural interests and a farm vet tech. They are also an RVN training practice.

    The full time role is ideally a 40 hour week, although the team are able to offer part-time roles and flexible working patterns over days that are right for the whole team. They team have no evening surgeries and opening hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
    The team are also able to offer no weekend work or OOH shifts should this be preferred. They provide a positive and sustainable working environment and are keen to support interests and responsibilities outside of work.

    The small animal hospital is undergoing an exciting re-vamp to improve the first-rate patient care the team are able to provide. There is free use of the practice flat, located directly above the hospital, for when needs arise.
    The large animal approach is driven by the teams pride in providing a proactive perspective on welfare, flock/herd health and all things farm, as well as offering and supporting clients with the more traditional services. The Farm team run frequent farmer meetings and workshops and boast steady involvement in a variety of on-farm research projects.

    The team are looking for a professional and considerate practitioner with experience in clinical practice who can make, follow-through and reflect on their own decisions and get involved in the teams good-humoured practice discussions. They like people to lead by example and take time to care, for themselves and others.

    The Large Animal role will include a flexible mix of clinical work with dairy, beef, and sheep herds covering all Veterinary requirements for beef and dairy herds, and sheep flocks, including Reproduction – Fertility, and Scanning, Health Plans, Disease Investigation, and many more opportunities to develop your own client base.


    The ideal candidate, for either team, will have two years plus experience and be looking towards a certificate, however consideration will also be given to those candidates who have recently graduated and have some good solid understanding.

    The team have an equally shared OOH rota – currently 1 in 6 or less nights on call, this can be negotiable for the right reasons.

    This lovely independent team are based in Devon, just a stone's throw from Dartmoor. With three branches around the Newton Abbott area, they are a community led practice with great links to the local area and charities.

    Our client are an established 18 Vet, two site practice, and are looking for a Mixed Animal Vet with some experience to join them on a permanent basis.

    The practice is based on the outskirts of Glasgow, near Paisley, and looks after a wide range of animals from cattle, sheep, horses to dogs, cats, rabbits and everything in between inclduing the ever increasing exotic pets.
    Ideally you will have some small animal experience but this is not essential as there is an experienced team of Vets and Nurses on hand for support and guidance.

    The practice has all the usual equipment you would expect, including up to date dental equipment and DR dental radiography, in house lab, ultrasound, and digital x-ray at each site. They hold frequent in house and locally arranged CPD to suit your skill development, and has close links with Glasgow University and SAC. The team carry out several routine fertility visits with weekly/fortnightly scanning and have Beef and sheep farmer groups with regular social/remote meets. The large animal team have Bull/ram fertility equipment, along with a mobile scanner, X-ray unit and endoscope.

    They have a Ophthalmologist certificate holder and acupuncturists on site and host weekly visits from a diagnostic imaging specialist.
    This practice are located just 10 minutes away Glasgow Airport and a 20-minute drive to beautiful Loch Lomond to spend your many days off.


    This is a full time role with no routine sole charge, but you will be required to be the 2nd vet on call and senior Vet back up OOH when needed.
    The rota does involve working a week of nights, however you will then be entitled to a full week off following this, thus giving you another 5-6 weeks off per year!
