    Our client in the Peak District have a vacancy for a mixed animal vet, 60% small, 40% large - a small amount of routine equine for local clients. The successful candidate will join a team of 5 vets and will be experienced in routine small animal surgeries and medical cases and also happy with routine large animal work.

    As with the majority of mixed roles, there is an OOH's requirement of one night per week plus one in four weekends.

    Certificates in any discipline will be encouraged and funded.
    The practice is well equipped and on the small animal side has digital X-Ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors.

    Our Worcestershire based, independent farm animal client has a vacancy for a vet arm vet with some experience to join their large team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 12 months experience.

    Our client works a 5 day week and there is a 1/4 oncall rota.

    The workload is around 30% dairy and the rest made up of primarily, sheep and pigs.

    Vets tend to manage their own farm and small holder clients on a regular basis to ensure continuity of care and allowing the vets to form bonds with their clients.

    A full driving license is essential for this role and company vehicles are provided for work purposes.

    Due to two of their experienced vets relocating, our independent client in North Yorkshire has two opportunities for experienced mixed vets to join them.

    One of the roles would suit someone with a keen interest in Dairy. All vets have to be comfortable with enough small animal work to allow them to cover the OOH's and work a minimum of 10% smalls.

    The other would suit someone looking to do 50/50 small and farm. There is only a small amount of equine required with this practice.

    his is a very well equipped hospital with radiography, ECG, ultrasound, full in house labs etc. They offer a full farm service and offer routine work for Horses, ponies and donkeys.

    The Out of hours is done on a 1 in 10 basis 2nd on call and 1 in 10 1st on call so there is some requirement every 5 days.

    As our client have just recruited two new graduates, applications form 2020 graduates cannot be considered at this stage.
    Lovely 5 vet team working in an equine and small animal practice, would like us to find a new team member to join them in their Berkshire practice.
    They are able to consider application from the following:
    Small animal only vets with basic skills and experience. Support and membership is available
    Equine only vets, Experience is a must. Equine work is mainly show and event horses, not much racing or stud work
    Mixed vets, with some experience across both disciplines.

    The practice has great facilities, with endoscopes, digital X-ray, laser, shockwave, ultrasound etc, and a vehicle is provided for work. The normal week is 4.5 days with 1:4 OOH's. They offer a great salary with healthcare, memberships paid and 5 days of CPD with support upto certificate level

    Our client is a two centre mixed practice with the large animal side nearly all equine work. One practice is in town and the other is a practice in the country. The current team includes three dedicated small animal vets, two dedicated equine and two mixed vets. The practice do their own small animal orthopaedic work and have a further qualified vet in equine dentistry. The practice have all the usual tools including endoscopes and digital x rays, ultrasound, dental x ray, stables, small animal orthopaedic equipment, paddocks and stocks They do their own out of hours and pride ourselves on our service to our clients.

    The position is a mixed role 60% small animal and 40% horses with the odd smallholder animal and rare exotic. The candidate is expected to be competent in most aspects of mixed practice but training can be given if there are some areas where the candidate is less confident. The role is for a full time Vet but the client would consider part time. All candidates would be expected to form part of the OOH rota. The OOH rota is a 1 in 4 weekends (there are always two vets and one nurse on duty) and one night per week.

    The client is open to considering candidates with no small animal experience or no equine experience, if they were competent and enthusiastic, as the client can give on the job training. The position would require the candidate to be able to work on their own assisted by a nurse and also work within a team of vets in both sides of the practice. The candidate would be expected to be competent in all the majority of first opinion procedures both surgical and medical preferably in both equine and small animal practice.

    Our client has a proactive Farm Vet team, which is led by experienced vet, working in the beautiful county of Norfolk. Based near Norwich (listed as one of top places to live in UK), Stansted and Luton airports, and London are all within 2 hours.

    The ideal candidate will bring an enthusiastic approach to providing high quality farm vet work, fitting in with the team and farmers. A desire to continue to learn and help drive the practice forward is also necessary.

    You will be joining a team of 4 full time vets and a full time TB tester. The practice has excellent facilities, including easi-scans, bull fertility testing kit and embryo flush/transfer kit. Case load includes dairy, beef, sheep and pigs if you want.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience and experience of working as a farm vet in the UK would be an added bonus. Must be registered with Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and any OCQ-(V) qualifications would be advantageous.

    This is a full-time role which will include a 1 in 4 weeknight/weekend rota with time off in lieu for weekend work. VDS cover, workplace pension and private healthcare all provided with a CPD budget of 1200 and 5 days. 33 days holiday plus birthday leave. In addition, up to 3,000 Golden handshake is available for the right candidate.

    Great independent practice, close to Chesterfield, with a mix of roughly 25% mixed and 75% small
    Looking to recruit someone with maybe 1-2 years experience upwards.
    Working a 4 day week with weekends on a rota of 1:3 with shared OOH's You would join a team of seven vets working across disciplines.
    A normal week would see approximately 1 day spent in surgery, 1 day on large animal visits and 2 days consulting with space for working up cases in between. An interest in Equine and farm would be advantageous.
