    Our client is based near Grantham and are looking for either a SA or a mixed vet to join our wonderful supportive, friendly and relaxed team.

    The successful candidate will be fully supported by the team of highly experienced vets and nurses and will be given the opportunity to develop interests and skills as desired. This a full time role and will include OOH on a rota 1:6 (1st and 2nd) rota with a 4 day week. Weeknd will be shared equally through the team.

    This practice covers all aspects of herd health, an ambulatory role which offers all the usual emergency support, but promotes everything from foot trimming to vaccinations, to ensure that all their farmers can maintain animal health and improve productivity.
    Ideally the team would like to welcome an experienced colleague, however they are an experienced team and are more than happy to discuss this opportunity with newly graduated vets too

    My client is a large established practice, with many years of experience. They are seeking to grow the team and can accommodate either a mixed or small animal caseload. based in heart of Norfolk, the large team of 13 vets, include certificate holders and are able to offer lots of support and development and as such applications are welcome from vets with a good grasp of the basics, who are able to work with routine consults and surgery, but would like to develop further.
    CPD is encouraged and this can be up to certificate level. Every effort will be given to nurture personal interests within the team, including sourcing new equipment as needed.
    The ideal fit for the team would be someone who is keen to progress in surgery, maybe into orthopedics, but this is not essential.
    The business prides itself on exceptional quality of care, and for continuity they operate their own OOH's however this is worked by the large animal team, so for the small animal role is not always required.
    Work life balance is great, with 4 out of 5 days finishing at 5.30, some weekend work on a rota.

    Our client is a multi site, well respected in the local area, rural practice who are looking for an experienced mixed animal vet to join their team.

    The practice is based in beautiful Donegal which recently topped the National Geographic list of must see destinations.     Small animal only vets with basic skills and experience. Support and membership is available
    Equine only vets, Experience is a must. Equine work is mainly show and event horses, not much racing or stud work
    Mixed vets, with some experience across both disciplines.

    The practice has great facilities, with endoscopes, digital X-ray, laser, shockwave, ultrasound etc, and a vehicle is provided for work. The normal week is 4.5 days with 1:4 OOH's. They offer a great salary with healthcare, memberships paid and 5 days of CPD with support upto certificate level

    • Examine small animal, horse and farm animals to diagnose their health problems and recommend best practice treatment. The work is 70% small animal, 20% dairy cattle and 10% horses and farm animals. This position will involve a greater percentage of herd health work than outlined above.
    • Consult with clients regarding preventive care.
    • The ability to lead by example, and deliver internal skills training to junior veterinarians and the nursing team.

    A successful candidate will have a genuine care for animals large and small, fellow team members and customers. You will have an enquiring and inquisitive mind and understand that attention to detail and documentation is as essential as great diagnostic expertise.
    A strength in dairy practice with a wide range of mixed practice skills will be highly regarded.

With the rota 1 night per week & 1 weekend in 5 will be on call.

    Accommodation is available but no vehicle, however mileage will be paid.
