After a ten-year career with department store group, House of Fraser I made the transition to the veterinary business back in 2005. Working as Partner Recruitment Manager for Vets4Pets, I was solely responsible for recruiting new vets to open new practices. Between 2005 and 2010 I helped the group double in size. Motivated by the success of the vets I’ve worked with and the management team at Vets4Pets I took the leap to realise my dream of running my own business. Our relationship was great and to this day I still carry out work for people I first met over a decade ago.

Our client Nottinghamshire, just off the M1 have a vacancy for a part time veterinary surgeon to join their team. The ideal working hors are 32, however they are flexible overt this.

Candidates need to have enough experience to handle short periods of sole charge without concern and be comfortable with some routine surgical and medical procedures/conditions.

For candidates requiting mentorship or support this will be offered. For those experienced vets happy to be just left alone this will also be welcomed.

This is a small animal, first opinion practice employing one addition vet and a friendly nursing team. OOH's are covered by VetsNow and the rota will involve Saturdays on a rota basis, approx 1 in 3.

Our Client in South West London require a veterinary surgeon with around 12 months experience to join them in a supportive role working across a small number of practices covering days off, holidays, sickness etc. This is a great opportunity to work with a host of different vets in practices with differing equipment levels. Senior vets are always on hand when working sole charge for support. There is also the large sister hospitals where cases too complex can be referred to.

Equipment you will hve access to across the sites includes:

  • MRI
  • CT
  • Endoscopy
  • Ultrasound
  • Digital X-Ray
  • ECG

This is a great opportunity to join a business with exception opportunities for progression and promotion. You wil also have access to certificate holder in almost every small animal discipline.

Typically, mobile roles develop into fixed site roles with 6-12 month. Fixed roles are always offered internally before being advertised to vets outside the organisation.

Our client is based Leicestershire and are commutable from Leicester, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Wigston, Syston, Coalville, Grantham, Derby and Oakham. They are looking for an experienced vet, likely around 3 years to join them on a sole charge basis to run this branch.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious vet who is interested in learning about the business side of practice running as well as clinical work. This role not only offers excellent career progression clinically, but also allows progression into partnership or non-clinical roles also.

The practice is a well equipped, small animal first opinion with a great client base. The candidate will have a real passion for delivering excellent service to clients and patients and be confident in making clinical decisions.

Salary will not be a barrier to attract the right candidate and our client often pay industry leading rates.

Our Client on the South Wales Powys Borders require a veterinary surgeon, ideally with a minimum of 12 months UK experience (comfortable with small amounts of sole charge, routine surgeries and medical cases) to join their team.

Working witha team of our vet the succesful candidate will gain access to complex surgeries and medical cases and will be support by four other vet. So this is a great opportunity to develop, upto certificate level which will hapily be funded by the client.

Our client in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire require a surgical certificate holder to join them in their 24 hour hospital. OOH's are covered by their dedicated night team.

The practice caseload includes huge volumes of complex surgeries which were generally covered by the outgoing veterinary surgeon. The practice is therefor very well equipped. Our client are also happy to invest in other equipment as required.

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of four other day vets and a team five RVN's and students.

Our client in this beautiful Lincolnshire village require a vet with around 12 months experience, so comfortable with routine small animal surgeries and medical cases. Much if the work will be initially sole chare, hence the far higher than average salary offered. The successful candidate will have lots of access to more senior and experienced vets whenever they require it.

The rota is focussed towards work life balance, working 4 days per week with 1 in 3 weekends.

This is a new practice so equipped to a very high standard.
