After a ten-year career with department store group, House of Fraser I made the transition to the veterinary business back in 2005. Working as Partner Recruitment Manager for Vets4Pets, I was solely responsible for recruiting new vets to open new practices. Between 2005 and 2010 I helped the group double in size. Motivated by the success of the vets I’ve worked with and the management team at Vets4Pets I took the leap to realise my dream of running my own business. Our relationship was great and to this day I still carry out work for people I first met over a decade ago.

Our proudly independent practice in this beautiful Buckinghamshire town are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their team. The successful candidate will be comfortable with routine soft tissue surgeries, neuters on cats dogs and ideally rabbits, lump removals, routine dentals etc etc. Attitude is more important than time served, however the practice is quite busy, this role would not suit a new graduate this time.

As a small, independent team it is important to our client that all candidates share a desire to collaborate with each other over cases where support and second opinions are needed.

As our client expands, the natural career path for this role would be to Clinical Director of a brand new practice.

The practice is purpose designed and consists of three consult rooms, separate dog, cat and isolation wards. Equipment includes; digital X-Ray, ultrasound, full Idexx labs and as the practice is constantly growing, so are the equipment levels.

The package will be consummate to experience and will be topped up with RCVS, VDS, Generous CPD.

Our client on the Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire Borders would like a veterinary surgeon with an interest in surgery to join their team. This could be a vet with a minimum of two years experience who wants to start a certificate. It could also be a vet part way through or who has completed the certificate.

This is a two vet, well equipped practice and will involve some sole charge work. The rota is based around a 4 day week with 1/3 Saturdays or 1/6 full weekends, whichever is preferred.

Practice equipment includes, digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, dental suite, full lab and ECG.

For vets without a surgical interests, CPD will be supported to certificate levels in other small animal disciplines.

Our client requires a veterinary surgeon who is happy with some surgical and medical procedures (around 12 months) to join them in a mobile capacity. As a mobile vet, the successful candidate will have access to a number of experienced veterinary surgeons and certificate holders as well as working with a vast array of equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a vet to experience a number of different practices and teams before deciding on a location to settle for the longer term. There are 6 locations, of differing sized in the area. They all share IT.

Vets have access to high spec ultrasounds, CT, digital X-ray, orthopaedic equipment, laparoscopic equipment, flexible and rigid endoscopy.

Our South Yorkshire client require an additional, experienced veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated night service.

Working 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off, the successful candidate will enjoy fantastic work life balance. This is an established out of hours service so very busy. The role would suit someone who is working towards a CertECC or who would be interested in pursuing one.

Our client in Cheltenham require an additional veterinary surgeon to join their multi vet team.
The successful candidate will be comfortable to with routine surgeries and medical case. The role involves working across two sites in the Cheltenham area and a vehicle can be provided if required.

The practices are very well equipped with:
  • Digital X-Ray
  • Ultrasound
  • multipara monitor
  • endoscopy
Thr rota involves a 4 day week with 1:4 half days on saturdays.

There are no OOH's with this role.
Our client in South London have a vacancy for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join them on a part time, 3 day per week basis. There will also be a requirement for 1:3 Saturdays.

The time will be split between sole charge and working with the Partner in the practice so candidates must be comfortable with routine soft tissue surgery and medical cases.

The practice is well equipped with digital X-Ray, dental X-Ray, ultrasound and endoscope.

CPD is encouraged up to certificate level and will be supported in any discipline. An interest in surgery would be ideal, but not a pre-requisite.

A package up to 50k (pro rata) will be offered depending upon experience.

RCVS, VDS and BVA fees are funded by the client.
