As part of the original set up team for Bright Leaf in 2010 I have recently taken more of an administrative role in the business. I now audit and maintain accurate files for both candidates and clients and look after customer service and credit control.

Prior to Bright Leaf Recruitment I had extensive experience gained in Sales, Insurance, Customer Service and have worked for a large project management company. I also owned and ran another successful business which was sold in 2009 to provide the seed funding for Bright Leaf Recruitment.

Our client has a group of 21 clinics across the UK, their clinic in Wolverhampton is now looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.

The staff different interests, with team members undergoing further training by certificates or having those that have achieved certification status. Being part of something bigger offers a fantastic level of support on a wider group level and allows them to grow and develop a higher quality first opinion pet care, whilst providing internal career progression opportunities.

The practice is based in the City Centre and has excellent transport links, shops and food outlets. They are equipped with some incredible facilities including a Dental X-ray, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray and access to scope. They have recently increased the surgical caseload to include BOAS surgery and they are re-launching their nurse clinics with in-house training. The team is friendly and fun and are dedicated to ensuring the happiness of all staff and take well-being afternoons very seriously.

To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing high-quality clinical care to all pets. You will provide an outstanding client experience and help to create and maintain an efficient clinic. The shift pattern is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 am – 7 pm with a share of Saturdays and time given back in lieu. No out of hours requirement. You will be highly motivated veterinary nurse who can thrive in this high-quality practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in UK / Small Animal practice

Our client has 21 clinics across the UK and is now looking for a Full Time Clinical Director to lead their team in their practice in Newcastle-upon- Lyme.

The team have different interests, with team members undergoing further training by certificates or having those that have achieved certification status. This is a growing practice with great facilities including 4 consult rooms, a cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and access to endoscope if needed. Working alongside the wonderful nurse team, they have 3 vets who have been qualified for 2-15 years. The practice holds the ISFM silver award for cat care.

The veterinary team enjoy all aspects of general veterinary practice and high-quality clinical care is of utmost importance to the team, they even thoroughly enjoy staged dentals. The clinical team, routinely conduct audits, ensuring that they are always working towards gold standard first opinion pet care. The team feel like a Clinic Director with a surgical bias, would complement their interests and offer support in this area, whilst providing the successful candidate with a career opportunity to progress and grow a more advanced surgical service, for which there is demand.

The successful candidate will be supported by a senior vet and practice manager, alongside a complete nurse and front of house team, therefore there is adequate opportunity to maintain a healthy balance between leadership and clinical work.

This vacancy is a result of the current Clinical Director is unfortunately relocating and as result, they have a fantastic new opportunity available for a veterinary surgeon who is looking to take the next step in their career. This role would be suitable for someone who has had previous senior experience and will be predominantly focused on leading and developing the clinical team.

The clinic has a very varied caseload and they routinely have a visiting peripatetic orthopaedic surgeon, so they would love to hear from candidates with a surgical bias - although this isn’t a deal-breaker. The teams work-life balance and well-being are always top priorities at the clinic and as a group, they have adopted a more flexible approach to working. They are keen to consider full time and part-time applicants, with a share of Saturday mornings between 8:30 am-12:30 pm, with TOIL given for each weekend worked. Out of hours is not required for this role. The salary for this role is up to 85,000 depending on experience.

The clinic has light, large and airy consult rooms, dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room; modern theatre and prep area; in house lab; dental machine and separate cattery and kennels. The friendly team consists of 3 vets, 2 RVN's' 2 ANA's, 3 receptionists and a highly experienced Practice Principal.

Ideally this position is 5 days per week with 1:3 Saturday mornings and no OOH, however the team may be able to offer a degree of flexibility around this standard pattern (both full and part time applications will be considered).

This is a busy practice with appointments (15 minutes) only. The ideal candidate will be confident and competent in all soft tissue surgeries and basic orthopaedics, and will be happy to mentor and guide less experienced team members. You will work closely with the Practice Principal and contribute to the management, organisation and financial performance of the practice. The ideal candidate would have experience in a Senior Vet position but they are also open to candidates who are looking at taking the next step up in their career. Excellent communication skills are required together with very strong surgical skills and the ability to meet deadlines. They require a motivated individual with a focus on delivering an exceptional service to clients.

Salary is up to 65k depending upon experience.

The clinic is looking for an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join them.
They treat a range of medical and surgical cases in mixed species and you’ll have good support provided from the existing experienced team of vets. Minimal TB testing is shared out among 8 vets. There is the opportunity to develop scanning and herd health in the farm section and a wide caseload of surgical and medical small animal cases.

The ideal candidate will have experience but all lengths of experience will be considered. Opportunity to develop further specialism. Good communication skills essential.

Our client has a modern RCVS accredited Tier 2, purpose built two centre mixed practice with state-of-the art premises based at the foothills of the beautiful Mourne Mountains and only 30 minutes from Belfast and 90 minutes to Dublin.

They have been established for over 25 years providing 24-hour emergency services to their clients. The practice currently has 9 vets, supported by a team of both Registered and Trainee Nurses, Receptionists and Support staff across the 2 clinics. The surgery facilities include all the usual: in-house labs, digital x-ray, ultrasound ECG and full orthopaedic equipment. They are also an approved Veterinary Nurse training practice.

Working on a variety of ECC caseloads when on call to cover out of hours work at the local branches and will be in sole charge working on the farm and small animal emergencies. The role is 7 nights on (on call) 7 nights off and hours 6:30pm-8am. Salary up to 55,000 negotiable DOE.

You must be RCVS registered, confident with sole charge and ECC work mainly within farm and small animal caseloads, must have driving licence as company van will be provided. Offsite accommodation is also available.
