Our client has is a well established, 3 branch 1st opinion group based near Cardiff. They are looking for two Small Animal Veterinary Surgeons to join them.
The practices are well equipped with in house lab, digital x-ray, K laser, u/s scanner, Laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment, and dental x-ray. They try to do as much in house as they can and allow their vets full clinical freedom. The team consists of a 6 vet, 6 nurse team alongside our support staff. The current vets have years of experience so there is good support both surgically and medically - all of the team are willing to help one another and discuss cases. The vets enjoy case continuity and actively encourage the team to work their own cases up. The practice run 15 min consults and don’t ever consult for more than 2 hrs in one go. There is time and space in the day to read up cases and call clients, so there isn’t a long list of to-do jobs at the end of the day.
Both positions will involve some sole charge at their smaller branches in addition to consulting and routine surgery at the main branch. Due to the sole charge, you will need some experience in consulting, the role will also include some surgery time, but this can be altered if you prefer the medical aspect.
The working day is 9am-7pm with a lunchbreak in the middle. There is a dedicated emergency service so there are no OOH’s with these positions. Weekends are Saturdays only 9am – 1pm. The ability to work sole charge is a must as well as being confident doing routine consults. Driving license is essential to travel between branches.

Our client in this beautiful, rural market town in South Wales have a vacancy for a vet with some routine surgical experience to join them. The successful candidate will work cross three practices developing all the time working alongside the wider vet team. Whilst sole charge is very limited, there is some. As such candidates should be confident enough the handle this. Candidate will realistically have a minimum of 6 months experience. Our client are however keen to talk to vets with more experience too.

The role could lead into a fixed role in one of the three locations as the practices grow, or positions arise through natural progression.
