Our client has a group of 6 Small Animal Practices based in West Yorkshire, who are now looking for a Full or Part Time Vet to join them.

They are a first opinion small animal practice with their own hospital facilities and dedicated night service. The group is close to Leeds for those who like the city life and handy for the Yorkshire Dales if you prefer the outdoors. Leeds Bradford International Airport is also on the doorstep.

There are 22 vets and 7 Veterinary Nurses and have certificate holders in ECC, surgery and ophthalmology. The experienced team means that they can deal with surgical and medical cases in house meaning that you can follow your own cases.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and experienced first opinion and small animal vet. Working at the hospital site and branch surgery alongside the experienced team. Working five days a week varying between the hours of 8am-5pm and 8am-7pm. One Saturday morning in five and one full weekend in five with time off in lieu. No out of hours work. The practice is also open to consider any part time hours. You must also be happy to work in a sole charge capacity when required.

Every weekday morning, they have a clinical meeting which allows staff to discuss the current days cases as well as having the opportunity to gain advice regarding ongoing cases. They always ensure there are adequate breaks throughout the day to work up your caseload. The full-time role will average 42hrs per week, 1:5 weekend work and no OOH calls. Our client has three sites in West Yorkshire with one main hospital facility. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join the team. The hospital is a gold friendly cat practice and another branch has been awarded silver. They are a nurse training practice and part of the practice standards scheme with outstanding RCVS awards. All three sites are well-equipped with operating and lab facilities, including individual species wards (with additional exotics facilities at the Hospital). The new site where you will be based opened in December 2020 and boasts custom-built facilities including a new dental suite with CR xray. The clinical approach and practice ethos is to provide excellent staff, patient and client care through a culture of feedback and improvement with regular clinical and procedural audits involving the whole team. The team is a good mix of full and part time vets with varied interests; the clinical director has particular expertise in cardiology and critical care and two vets are completing medical and surgical certificates at present. This is Lead Veterinary Surgeon role which will require you working sole charge taking the reins on a 4-day week with 1:4 weekends. This role would suit an experienced Vet, looking to take the next step in their career. The practice is well equipped benefitting from digital Xray, ultrasound, (S6 from IMV), IM3 dental machine, tonopen and Abaxis biochemistry and haematology machines. A great opportunity has arisen for 2 part-time Vets to work sole charge at two branch surgeries near Leeds, West Yorkshire. Exciting new opportunity for an experienced Vet with interests in oncology to join a progressive Tier 3 hospital based close to Leeds in West Yorkshire. Working with an experienced oncology team, you may be looking towards specializing in this subject, or be part way through a certificate. You will be supported by their oncology expert and would have ongoing mentorship if required. They have a dedicated oncology suite where they offer both surgical and medical cancer treatments, and have a particular interest in reconstructive surgery and can provide both adjuvant and neo adjuvant chemotherapy. The facilities in the rest of the hospital are excellent, with CT scanner, various flexible and rigid scopes, ultrasound and access to an MRI twice a month. This practice deal with a mix of caseload from the routine cases from their 5 branches, and also take referrals which include surgery, Cardiology, oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology and imaging, carried out by a team of certificate and diploma holders. This is a full-time role for 47 hours per week Monday to Friday with weekends on a 1:4 rota. However the oncology would initially make up around 3 days of the caseload, so they can consider a part time Oncology role only, or with a mix of SA work until the caseload increases to full time in the oncology department. This is a 24 hour hospital but there are no out of hours with this position as the hospital have a dedicated night team. Our client is a busy first opinion practice in Dewsbury who are open to full and part time Veterinary Surgeon applications to join their team. The practice offers all routine surgery plus some more advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. They have a fully equipped operating room with ultrasonic instrument cleaning and vacuum sterilisers separated from non-clean procedure areas, including a separate diagnostic x-ray/ultrasound room. re is In house blood testing, using the latest Idexx analysers and also Sedivue analyser for urine sediment analysis. Facilities to offer blood pressure testing, cryosurgery, to perform suction and have a fully integrated dental machine. A normal day in the life would consist of a good mixture of consult and surgery work depending on the rota for that day. They try to incorporate operating time each day particularly if the Vet Surgeon was to be on a later finish with evening consultations.
