Veterinary Surgeon

Our client who are a 3 branch, busy Small Animal Practice, are looking for a colleague with at least 2 years experience who is confident and willing to develop their already good surgical and medical skills.

The successful candidate will have a great pet-side manner, excellent communication skills and be good team player in this friendly and supportive practice.
The role will be based mainly at 2 surgeries, but occasionally you may be required to work at the 3rd branch.

The nature of the work, however, will mean that you will be able to follow up your own cases despite not spending 100% of the time at one branch. Usual toys including CR Xray, ultrasound, ECG and IDEXX Lab.

Excellent work-life balance with no OOH , long lunches and time off in lieu for Saturday mornings which are worked on a rota. CPD encouraged and funded. Competitive salary based on experience.

Our client in this beautiful Leicestershire village require an experienced vet, comfortable working in sole charge and happy with routine soft tissue surgery and medical work ups to join their two vet (including this vacancy) team. The successful candidate will not only work closely with the immediate team, but also with the neighbouring, sister practices. Equipment includes digital x-ray, ultrasound. It is important that the incoming vet wants to be included in business decisions as well as clinical work as they will be an integral part of the team The rota is worked over 4 days with 1/3 Saturdays. There are no OOH's with this position. This practice is easily commutable to Coventry, Leicester, Rugby, Birmingham, Tamworth and Nuneaton.
Our village client in Leicestershire require an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join them on a sole charge basis. This position would suits vets confident with routine surgical and medical cases who have a minimum of two years experience. There will always be phone/email support when additional support is required. The ideal candidate will be looking to take ownership of the day to day aspects of this practice and really promote a community feel to this practice and make it feel like their own. The rota is worked over a 4 day week with 1:6 full weekends. The weekends could involve working in other practices.
Our client in Lincolnshire require an additional vet to join their 3 vet team. There is a little sole charge requirement for sole charge in this role. Therefore, candidates should be comfortable with routine surgeries and be happy to work up their medical cases. It is expected that candidates will have around 2-4 years experience. There will be occasional work at a larger sister practice, as and when required. Here, they have 5 vets and 9 RVN's Both practices are well equipped first opinion practices with digital x-ray, ultrasound etc etc. Our client offer industry leading packages with salaries in the 55,000 area and can provide vehicles if required.

The practice operate 24 hours per day, employing their own dedicated night team, so no OOH's worked with this vacancy. Our client in this beautiful Leicester market town would like to welcome a vet with around three years UK experience to join them in a lead vet capacity. The successful candidate will look after the clinical aspects in the practice and be involved in some management. The team consists of one other vet plus 3 nurses. So this role would suit a vet looking to take on their first senior role. Training, development and support will be offered in all aspects of the role that might be unusual to incoming candidates. Our client is looking for a small animal vet to join their first opinion, four vet practice in Leicestershire. Teamwork is an essential skill at the practice along with communication because you will divide your time between two branches – the client like to makes life as easy as possible because veterinary medicine is complicated enough as it is. The nurses are supportive, knowledgeable and approachable, generally keeping the vets in line. The vets themselves have good grounding in general practice and broad experience, good client relations tend to come easy, as the practice they have a broad range of clientele and adaptability is key. The practice has toys - digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy as well as all the fiddly bits like otoscopes, opthalmoscopes, a tonopen and in house lab diagnostics. The rota is definitely survivable - 4.5 day week (three long days, a short day and a half day) with one in four Saturdays and the OOH is covered by Vets Now. There is flexibility week to week and in the rota, as the client likes to try and fit around any extracurricular activities you may have where possible.
