Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with experience for progressive team

Beautifully located on the solent, this practice is part of a working group of clinics in the area, with a large team of 10 vets including certificate holders in Surgery, someone studying medicine and keen interests in Ophthalmology and exotics. Alongside the other practices they pool their knowledge and try to keep all cases referred within the group.
Ideally they would like to recruit an experienced vet who is seeking further development and they will support study for certificates too
The position is for full time with some weekends.

This is a rare opportunity to join a successful and established business, with full or part time roles discussed. The team can offer a flexible working environment as they value work-life balance and the practice does not open Sundays or Bank Holidays. They also do not have on-call or OOH. Any over-time, which happens in any vet business, we store and use it for flexible days off. Our rota is consistent but they are open to change this to accommodate any special plans like a long weekend away or a special occasion. The surgery has the expected equipment list with digital x ray, a new ultrasound and video endoscope. They also have a basic orthopaedic kit. They have ophthalmology kit including slit lamp, tonopen, algerbrush, corneal and eyelid kits and a cryopen. They believe in investing in growth and evolving as the teams interests grow. Which has recently led to them beginning to offer laparoscopic surgery CPD is fully supported and anyone with an interest in doing a certificate will be fully funded. This group of four well established, equipped and independent small animal practices based in North Hampshire have created a new and exciting role to support the existing Practice Manager. The role will ensure the smooth day to day running of all 4 clinics, help develop procedures and processes to ensure a first-class service to our clients and their pets. Previous Veterinary and/or management experience would be beneficial but not essential. As Assistant Practice Manager, you will be required to support the Practice Manager by managing the team to deliver professional healthcare as well as identifying and implementing business objectives to maximize the business potential. Our client is a lovely three site group on the South Coast, near Southampton. The practices are well equipped and due to expansion are now looking to welcome a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join the their fantastic team. The practice has a varied case load across all branches and they have a good range of surgical cases including orthopaedics. The majority of procedures are carried out in house where possible and supported by a fantastic nursing team. Full time and part time applications are considered. The practice is in a great location less than 10 minutes’ walk to the beach and located on the high street, providing a great area to explore during your time off. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join them. Both clinics are well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy and Idexx laboratory machines (Catalyst and Procyte) and they have two consulting rooms at each site as well as dedicated theatres. The best thing about the clinic is not the equipment, it is the team. There are 6 FTE veterinary surgeons with experience ranging from 3-36 years qualified, all of which are excellent, all-round clinicians. They have 10 FTE nurses across the two sites allowing them to provide a 3:1 support to surgeon ratio. They also have 4 FTE receptionists across the two sites and multiple official veterinarians. The clinic is ideally placed to enjoy your time off. If you like walking and cycling, there is no place better than the New Forest, more into paddle-boarding, then there excellent rivers to do so and the ocean. They are looking for a qualified vet to work full time, ideally working 36-40 hours across 4/4.5 days. You will be required to work 2:5 Saturday mornings but there is no out of hours work.
