They are well equipped, and provide a flexible rota to allow for a good work life balance, with No OOH’s and the role is for a 40 hour week with weekends on a rota

Are you looking for your first role in a thriving small animal only practice? Then this excellent first opinion clinic, based in south Leicestershire could be the one for you. Due to expansion this client is doubling one of its sites to create a brand-new clinic, opening later this year/early next year and as such the team are looking for a proactive small animal vet who is an enthusiastic team player and keen to learn and develop themselves as well as the practice. You will be working with a hugely experienced team who can offer a wealth of expertise, plus visiting veterinarians to assist with both case management and team development. The vet team are suported by a truly wonderful nursing team that are focused on animal care and a reception team that works hard on providing the best client journey. The leadership team are passionate about employee welfare and strive to create a supportive and enjoyable place to work. The practice has all the usual toys, digital x-ray including dental x-ray, ultrasound including cardiology package, endoscopy, in house biochemistry, haematology, and cytology. A laugh, a joke and wacky dancing available most days along with a visiting coffee van. For the right candidate, the team are happy to disucss the flexibility of working hours to accommodate individual circumstances, this position could be filled by several part time personnel or a full-time role (40 hour working week). Mixed work can also be provided for the right candidate. The team can also offer enrolment on the new graduate development scheme, which will give the successful candidate additional CPD, a chance to get together with other new graduates to discuss the highs and lows of your first job, all whilst continuing your learning journey. Starting salary will be £32k per annum plus a range of benefits including: £ Competitive CPD 5days funded, with encouragement and support to undertake certificates, £ Pension, health shield (make use of a massage or two on the business), £ 4day working week for a full-time role, £ Cycle to work scheme, generous staff discount, £ Buy and sell holiday scheme, life insurance at 1x annual salary, £ 1 day volunteering leave (pro rata for part time colleagues), £ RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) subscription paid, £ 7.33 weeks holiday (pro rata). This is a thriving area of the East Midlands with great motorway and rail links to Birmingham, London and Leicester city centres for shopping and night life. The overall location of the practice is semi-rural giving the small town vibe, great for families, with good schools and plenty of activities as well as providing some wonderful places to eat, drink and unwind. Are you looking for a progressive and driven veterinary practice, where you can have an exceptional work life balance, with some weekend work. This small vet team, are looking for someone with great communication skills, are able to offer mentoring and support for a newly graduated vet to join them, or are able to support the interests of an experienced vet seeking clinical freedom and the time to work cases up to a high standard. Due to the current relocation of one of their team, they are looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join them. Ideally You will have some experience in general practice and be happy with routine soft tissue surgeries and managing your own caseload.
