Surgically Biased Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy, West Sussex/Surrey Boarders
Our client has a vacancy for a small animal vet with an interest in surgery to join them. The ideal candidate will be a certificate holder, working towards a certificate or will have gained lots of complex surgical experience. For those studying towards a certificate this will be fully supported and funded by my client.
They are currently well equipped, 3 vet practices with wide interests including surgery, medicine and cardiology. They have all the equipment required to support these interests. Well equipped ops theater, digital x-ray, ultrasound etc.
Whilst there will only be limited sole charge, it is important that candidates are comfortable with the situation.
The practice operate on a working week averaging 40 hours across 4 days with a small share of weekends.
In addition to a great rota, our client also offer:

Small Animal Vet for Branch Surgery - close to Brighton
Our client on the outskirts of Brighton are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their friendly small animal Veterinary team.
The role is to be based at one of the Branch surgeries, working as part of the day team, and joining the 3 other vets on rotations of Consulting and operating.
The site has a range of high-technical equipment, including ultrasound, x-ray, and in-house laboratory. They have dedicated cat and dog wards, as well as separate clean and dirty theatres, with a fantastic nursing and support team to work alongside. The branch also has the opportunity to refer emergency cases to their main hospital in Brighton that has certificate holders, including referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics.
The team run an OOH team alongside the day team at the hospital and are committed to continuing the further development of all team members, with ample opportunity for learning and development through dedicated in-house and external CPD.
The team are looking for an experienced and approachable team player to join them on a permanent full time basis, working 4 days per week with a 1:5 weekend rota and time off in lieu.
In addition, you will receive:

Our independent client based on the South Coast of West Sussex are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a passion for excellence to join their team on a permanent basis.
This highly qualified team work together to provide considerable and wide-ranging medical and surgical expertise. By working as a team with individual specialist interests that include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, ultrasonography, orthopaedics and cardiology they are able to provide the very best of care for each and every pet and illness.
You will be joining a team of 3 vets, all of whom are happy to provide support, plus a team of 7 RVNs at the main clinic where consultations are 15 minutes (average), and vets are encouraged to follow their cases.
The surgical caseload is shared equally and case discussions are encouraged and welcomed. The day team no longer undertake their own OOH but they do work their cases up to a high level and hospitalise their own inpatients 24/7 onsite.
The ideal candidate will have an approachable manner and good inter-personal skills are essential. You will be actively encouraged to have your own clinical freedom, CPD and career progression and the team would be interested to discuss your future goals and fund a certificate if you have found your interest.
Likewise if you are newly qualified the team have experienced colleagues willing and able to provide you with all the support you need to kickstart your career in the industry.
The practice has modern equipment including digital x-ray, endoscope, rhinoscope, ultrasound, ECG, Slit Lamp, suction, pulse ox and recently upgraded lab equipment.
The working week is a 4-day week (2 days weekly 8.30-6.30pm and 2 days weekly 8.30-5pm) plus one Saturday (8.30-6pm) or Sunday (10-4pm) per month but no other OOH.
Part-time applications are welcomed.
