Our client is a well-established practice based just outside Bury St Edmunds, who are looking for a Clinical Director to lead their team.

The current Clinical Director will provide mentorship to assist you in developing your non-clinical skills in the areas of Leadership, Management & Business - resulting in you having a broader skill set than just clinical work. The position is full time, working a four day week, with 1:4 Saturday, working 08:30-12:00 but there are no out of hours. Salary range is 50,000 - 60,000 depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be confident and experienced clinician, who either already has leadership experience or is willing to learn and receive training in this area. You will be expected to lead and support your team clinically, but also pastorally, in conjunction with & supported by the others in the leadership team. You will be expected to be able to think on your feet and problem solve but always with support. You will be expected to provide constructive input to improve what the practice does in all areas.

Currently this is a small 4FTE Vet small animal practice with a family ethos and feel. They are strong on client and patient care, but not to the detriment of a good working environment, as they believe that it's a happy team that leads to the best results in all areas. They encourage CPD and new learnings, as the team strive to continually improve. To this end, they run a CPD system, through which every team member can make suggestions and submit ideas to improve what they do.

The team have 6 RVN's and an administration team of four - who take away all the paperwork. The practice ethos is helping each other and everyone is encouraged give their best.

The role will involve co-ordinating and leading all matters clinical and reporting into our leadership team (consisting of current PT Clinical Director, Head Nurse & Administration Manager). You will be responsible for achieving our KPI's in clinical and client satisfaction areas. You will liaise with referral specialists, peripatetic surgeons and Virtual Vet Specialists to retain as many cases as possible in-house. This is not a simple money orientated goal. It is the team's belief that they ALL learn by having specialists visit them and it is better for client and patient alike, achieving better outcomes for both and greater team satisfaction.

Our client owns a group of 6 small animal practices in the Suffolk area. Due to their continuing success and for the welfare of the current team, they are looking for an additional two vets to allow a better work/life balance. The client shows a real commitment to putting the vets and nurses and their well being at the for front of what they do. The owners are currently in the process of reducing the hours that the current team are working to 40 and taking the working week to 4 days. They are looking for 2 experienced Veterinary Surgeons to join them. Support in operating can be provided but ideally the candidate will be confident and competent in performing all routine surgeries as well as procedures such as c-sections, dentals, pyometras and enterotomy/cystotomies. However, they are open to a consult only role. Certificate holders or vets with experience/interests in cardiology, medicine or surgery would be an added benefit but this is not essential. Further work towards a certificate/career progression is desired. The group strongly believe that hospitalised animals should not be transported between an out of hours provider, therefore there will be some inpatient care. This will be on a rota basis with TOIL following a weekend worked which will be a maximum of 1:4 weekends. There will be a nurse as a first point of call with the vet contacted as a back up. Ideally they are looking for full time applicants but can be flexible with regards to hours and part-time applicants would be considered. However, contribution to the weekend rota is mandatory. You will be working between the main hospital and 1 – 2 branches allowing you develop relationships with clients and their pets. The hospital typically runs with 3-4 vets per day performing a mixture of consulting and operating. The 5 branch surgeries have all been recently renovated and offer daily consultations with 1-2 routine ops mornings at the larger branches. Branch work is normally sole charge with the ability to refer cases to the hospital if needed. The group are well equipped with high quality ultrasound including cardiac probe and ECG, digital radiography, CT scanner, electrocautery and therapeutic K-laser. They have multi-parameter monitoring for anaesthetics and have a good range of surgical equipment including for all general orthopaedics. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience and although the client can accommodate a consult only vet you must be confident with sole charge. Vets are encouraged to retain their own cases to improve client communication and improve job satisfaction. The team is looking for vets who want to share their experiences with them and look to grow with the practice. This fantastic group of practices based in Suffolk are looking for a couple of experienced Veterinary Surgeons to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. The main site is a Tier 3 small animal veterinary hospital based just outside Ipswich with 3 further branch practices in the area. The hospital is a purpose built site that is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasonography, dental radiography and endoscopy. The team currently comprises of one Clinical Director, 9 vets (a mixture of full and part-time), 10 registered veterinary nurses (a mixture of full and part-time), 2 student veterinary nurses, 11 reception and support staff, and 2 practice managers. Within the vet team they have a wealth of experience - 4 certificate holders (small animal medicine and surgery) and 2 vets currently training - 1 small animal medicine and the other in exotics. They are a very supportive team, they often have clinical meetings and there is at least one bake brought in a week! The team love to be involved with the community, and help to run then annual dog show at a local event, they also fundraise for a local hospice. This supportive and ambitious team strive to provide gold-standard veterinary care and are looking to recruit friendly, motivated and enthusiastic team-players to join them, ideally on a full time basis, but they are open to part-time applications too. They would also be interested in speaking with candidates who have an interest in Diagnostic Imaging as they are looking to build this side of the business, but this is not essential. It is more important to the team that they find a Vet who fits in well with the existing team. They will provide an environment of support and encouragement for career progression. Our client who is based near Ipswich is looking for an experienced small animal vet to join their friendly practice team. The rota is based on a 4 day week with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings until 13:00. On weekdays it is open to the public at 08:30, closing at 19:00 except Friday, which is until 18:00.
