Registered Veterinary Nurse for New Practice Premises - Staffordshire

This modern, well equipped practice are looking for a new Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will be joining the team at a very exciting time for the practice, as they start to be able to enjoy having clients back in the practice building (after lockdown) and show off the fabulous facilities that they now have. The team moved into their new building just before lockdown and includes a new on-site acupuncturist service in the unique woodland room. They also have a large prep room, 2 surgical theatres with ante room and changing area and a seperate dental theatre including dental x-ray. Plus seperate cat ward, dog ward (with 6 large walk-in kennels as well as smaller kennels) and isolation ward. They have great equipment including digital imaging, multiparameter GA monitoring, tonopen and blood pressure monitors etc.

This position is due to growth and so the existing team are ready and able to provide support from day one. Each of the existing Vets have a minimum of 4 years experience, the Nursing team are all extremely knowledgeable and accomplished, this really is a team that works well together.

The role is full time, working 38 hours per week - most nurses prefer to work this over 4 days with a full day off during the week but this can be flexible if you would prefer to work 5 shorter days. There is 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8am-1pm) to cover, but no Sundays, no Bank Holiday or OOH to work.

Starting salary is between 20k-23k and subject to experience.

Our client has a 100% Small Animal practice who are looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them near Stoke on Trent. The team is 4.5 vest, 6 RVN's, with a great reception support. The practice is well equipped with 3 vet and 1 nurse consult rooms. digital radiography, including dental radiography and ultrasound facilities. They are an ISFM accredited cat friendly clinic with separate cat and dog wards. The amazing nursing team run weight clinics, cuddle clinics for the nervous patients and senior clinics. The practice now has an exciting opening for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team. The role is for 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days with a mixture of lates and earlies. Shifts will be between 8.30am – 7pm and share of Saturdays with time being given back for Saturdays worked. There are no out of hours with this position. Our client is a small but busy branch practice based close to Stafford, where you will have access to a staff car park and great, local amenities. The clinic is very lucky to have a friendly and well-established client base, meaning the team take care of a varied caseload daily. Our client has a first opinion, tier 3 practice is based on the outskirts of the Cathedral city of Lichfield in rural Staffordshire. They are now looking for two full or part time Registered Veterinary Nurses to join their team. From the practice you’ll even get a beautiful view of the Cathedral across the fields. They are fully equipped with in house blood machines, digital x-ray, ultrasound, capnography, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, multiparameter machine and a fully supportive team to run it. The clinic is the main provider of out of hours coverage in the area, with 3 branch practices, powered by 3 Clinical Directors, 1 Practice Manager, 12 veterinary surgeons, 12 nurses and 4 veterinary care assistants. Duties will include; Caring for hospitalised patients with the support of a designated vet on the animal specific wards/kennels. Salary for this role is up to 28,000 depending on experience. Our clients has two sites in the Wolverhampton area and is looking for a Full Time Clinic Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them. The practice is RCVS Tier 2 accredited, a vet nurse training practice. Both sites are within walking distance of a local park, which is ideal if you bring your dog to work or just to get some fresh air and stretch your legs at lunchtime. Wolverhampton is ideally based to access both city life and the countryside. Carmel Veterinary Centre is an RCVS Tier 2 accredited, VNTP, two-site small animal practice based in Wolverhampton. Wolverhampton is ideally based to access both city life and the countryside. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope and full in house Idexx lab machines. This is a fantastic position for a nurse who wants to develop and take their first steps into a management role. Responsibilities will include, managing and co-ordinating theatre, liaising with vets to prioritise procedures and ensuring the smooth running of the surgical caseload. Good knowledge of nurse clinics and consulting would be necessary to ensure that the consulting process is kept up to date. Other duties will include leading clinical audits, clinical coaching for student nurses, maintaining stock, equipment repair/maintenance, leading and developing nurse clinics, keeping up to date SOPs and assisting with best practice within PSS guidelines to retain the accredited status. You will be based at one site but may be required to work at the nearby site from time to time, to provide holiday and absence cover. The role is for approximately 37 hours per average week. Monday to Friday shifts are either 8 am to 3 pm, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm or 11 am to 7 pm, on a shared rota. Saturdays are 1:4, from 8.30am to 2.00pm. Some flexibility will be required to cover holidays and absences. No Sundays and No Bank Holidays. No on-call. No out of hours. You will consistently provide excellent patient and client care. At least two years post qualification experience would be preferable and a Clinical Coach Qualification or eagerness to train towards this would be advantageous. You should be comfortable with supervising the nursing team, with the ability to share clinical knowledge to keep improving standards and developing the practice. You would liaise with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the practice and an exceptional client/patient experience. You must be extremely well organised and have lots of enthusiasm and energy to lead, motivate and encourage the nursing team. A calm, friendly, approachable, positive demeanour with a can-do attitude is vital. Our client has a modern, recently refurbished first opinion, small animal hospital and referral practice in the heart of Staffordshire. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them. The practice utilize their teams nursing skills to a high standard in a range of areas in a supportive learning environment. They are a nurse training clinic and support Surrey Veterinary Students during their final year IMR. The purpose-built hospital building has excellent facilities to cater for the vast range of cases we see, this includes: species-specific wards, separate isolation ward, 3 theatres, high definition Ultrasound, DR X-ray, K laser, multiple endoscopes including laparoscopy, dental X-ray, CT, chemotherapy room and treatments, multiple in-house blood machines (Idexx Catalyst; Procyte; and Sedivue, V check, Epoc, Coag). The ideal candidate will be passionate about caring for those intensive and demanding cases. The role is a varied 40 hour a week rota (split between inpatients, operations, nurse consultations, referral areas, and the cat-friendly clinic).
