Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy Oxford
Our client in the Oxford area have a vacancy for a vet with some experience to join their 3 vet team. There is a limited amount of sole charge so vets should be happy with some routine procedures and medical cases. On the occasions of sole charge, procedures will only be booked that the incoming vet is comfortable with.
This is a well equipped practice with laparoscopic equipment, digital x-ray, ultrasound, full lab.
The successful candidate will work a 4 day week with 1/6 weekends. An attractive salary package of 42-70,000 will be offered depending upon experience. For those candidates wanting to a small animal certificate, this will be readily supported and funded. If a candidate has a training agreement in place preventing them from moving, don't worry our client will consider funding this.

Full Time Small Animal Registered Veterinary Nurse near Bicester
Our client is a RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital, which has been caring for pets since 1993. They are now looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team.
The surgeries have been designed to provide the highest quality of care using the latest technology for diagnosis and treatment and they have purpose-built facilities across their sites, including Digital x-ray, Idexx diagnostic machines, dental suite, and modern anesthetic monitoring equipment. They have on-site parking available for clients at both sires, with disabled access to waiting rooms and consulting areas. The surgeries are air-conditioned, and they have separate dog and cat areas so that the patient environment remains calm. Many of the clients come from nearby towns and villages.
Between the two sites, there are 10 FTE vets; 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and 12 Support staff. The of our vets has a surgery certificate and one is working towards hers. The vets have a wide range of interests from surgery to dermatology and ECC. This is a very happy, supportive practice that takes well-being very seriously.
They are now looking for a dedicated RVN who put their patients at the heart of everything they do. You would be working alongside 12 experienced and professional nurses, as part of a fast-growing practice that strives to deliver excellence in customer service as well as gold standard veterinary care. The vets rely implicitly on the nurses to support them, often asking them to draw blood, take x-rays, and much more. They hold twice daily Clinical Rounds where nurse’s input is invaluable, giving the team excellent job satisfaction when they can help make decisions on their charges' care.
You will work 40 hours across 4 days per week, with 1:5/1:6 weekends, sharing operating, consulting, and inpatient duties.
The successful RVN will be a dynamic veterinary nurse who wants to make a difference, you will go the extra mile and service their loyal clients and bond new ones to the surgery.
You must be an organised, enthusiastic, motivated individual who will slot into the team from day one. You will strive for excellence and want to pass on the benefit of your knowledge to other staff members, they will happily support any further study/certificates in your chosen discipline. You will be as comfortable in the consulting room as in the theatre and thrive in both environments.

Our client provides a 24/7 individually tailored care to their patients and pride themselves on their relationships with their clients and valuing their team. They have 4 branches based in Southern Oxfordshire with the main branch providing OOH service by a dedicated night team. They are well equipped with in house Idexx lab, x-ray, ultrasound and endoscope all come as standard.
The team has excellent nurses and ANAs who support the vets and they are all here to help you find your feet. They foster an open forum policy to discuss cases and work them up to a high standard.
The ideal candidate should be the sort of Veterinary Surgeon that likes to see cases all the way through, to build bonds with your clients and enjoy working with a vibrant and open team. The role involves a 4 day week with approximately 1 full weekend (days) and 1 full Saturday (day) in 7 a week cycle. Client, pet and staff experience are all absolutely key and the client is looking for a vet who also holds true to these values. The role will include work at one of the local branches.

Our client is a single site small animal first opinion practice in the town of Banbury who are looking for a full or part time Small Animal Vet to join them.
The practice is only 55 minutes from the centre of London by train and located midway between Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. The team are made up of 6-vets, working with an experienced support staff team including 6 RVN’s. The spacious, purpose-designed practice is fully equipped. In addition, they also have an on-site CT scanner, equipment for laparoscopic surgery and a dedicated dental suite with dental x-rays. One of the vets is currently studying for a certificate in surgery and they also have a certificate holder in ophthalmology and medicine.
This is a permanent full-time position but the client is also open to part time applications with flexible hours to suit you. The caseload is varied, and the role provides a mix of consulting and surgery. The role also involves 1 in 6 Saturday mornings. Salary up to 60,000 depending on experience. They concentrate on a good work life balance for all employees and they support all areas of development whether that be career progression or studying for certifications in areas of interest.
This position would suit a vet with experience looking to develop clinically with a varied caseload using the excellent facilities and supportive team.
