Our client in Staffordshire in the West Midlands has a vacancy for a veterinary surgeon with some experience in routine (neuters, medical management etc) to join their team. They will consider confident new graduates

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a certificate holder with an interest in orthopaedics should they desire. In addition there are 4 other vets the successful candidate will work alongside as well as a great team of nurses and management team

The rota can be flexible but will not include Sundays or OOH's.

The practice is 1 mile form the train station which then has a direct line into Birmingham station. Easily commutable towns by car include;

Stafford, Cannock, Walsall, Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton, Lichfield

Our client has 21 clinics across the UK and is now looking for a Full Time Clinical Director to lead their team in their practice in Newcastle-upon- Lyme. The team have different interests, with team members undergoing further training by certificates or having those that have achieved certification status. Being part of something bigger offers a fantastic level of support on a wider group level and allows them to grow and develop a higher quality first opinion pet care, whilst providing internal career progression opportunities. This is a growing practice with great facilities including 4 consult rooms, a cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and access to endoscope if needed. Working alongside the wonderful nurse team, they have 3 vets who have been qualified for 2-15 years. The practice holds the ISFM silver award for cat care. The veterinary team enjoy all aspects of general veterinary practice and high-quality clinical care is of utmost importance to the team, they even thoroughly enjoy staged dentals. The clinical team, routinely conduct audits, ensuring that they are always working towards gold standard first opinion pet care. The clinic has a high surgical caseload, with a mix of soft tissue and orthopaedic cases. They would be keen to hear from veterinary surgeons who would consider a predominantly surgical role, with consultations in relation to supporting this surgical service. There may be the opportunity to progress this role in the future, therefore they would love to hear from veterinary surgeons who would be keen to develop a more advanced surgical service within the group. This role consists of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between the hours of 08:00 - 19:00). You will also be required to participate in a weekend rota, with time given back in lieu. There is no out of hours requirement for this role, as this is provided by VetsNow. They have a flexible working approach and therefore are keen to consider full time and part-time applicants. The salary for this role is up to 100,000 depending on experience. Our client has a friendly, small animal practice based in the county town of Stafford, surrounded by the beautiful countryside that will appeal to the outdoors type, such as Cannock Chase great for mountain biking or Hiking or just Dog walking. The team are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join them. The practice has great links to public transport and excellent rail access to anywhere in the UK. The surgery is fully equipped with all the usual toys including an in-house Laboratory, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray and laparoscopy to name but a few. That being said the best thing about the practice is the fantastic team. There are 7 vets, who are supported by 6 registered veterinary nurses, 4 student veterinary nurses and 7 support staff, with 2 certificate holders on the team who can provide expertise on small animal surgery. They strongly encourage the staff to pursue their interests and also have 3 Vets currently doing Certificates in Small Animal Surgery, Feline Medicine and imaging. The successful candidate will carry out several vet duties including First Opinion veterinary Consults, Vaccinations, Health Checks, Neutering, General Surgery and Diagnostics. The client is open to both full/part-time applications for this role, working on average 40 hours across 4 days per week, on a shared rota with a fair shift pattern. You will be required to work 1:7 weekends and there is no out of hours, however you may need to cover inpatient care should the need arise. Salary for this position of up to 55,000 FTE based on your experience. The ideal candidate is a first opinion veterinary surgeon who has some experience working in a practice. You will be dedicated to putting animal care at the heart of everything that you do and fit seamlessly into the friendly team. An interest in medicine would be an advantage however, this is not a deal-breaker. This wonderful client, established over 100 years ago, is a small animal, primary care practice in Staffordshire. They provide routine primary care services including orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, eye, heart and skin treatments, arthritis management and cancer treatment. They also offer referral services in ophthalmology and cardiology. The team have their own areas of special interest allowing them to provide a high standard of clinical care to clients and patients. They are a closely knit team, with majority of the team having 5 – 20 years plus service with this client. As the team grow, they are looking for a Vet Surgeon with a minimum of 2-years experience to join their established team. The team currently has 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 who have specialisms in Cardiology & Internal Medicine and one in Ophthalmology. They also have a Vet currently doing his surgical certificate and another working on Emergency critical care and we can fully fund all applicants who wish to undertake a certificate. You will be required to work an average 40h per week over a 8 week rota (to include only two Saturday mornings and one whole Saturday until 5pm and a Sunday 10am until 4pm).
