Our well equipped practice including laparoscopic kit, digital x-ray, ultrasound etc have a vacancy for a vet with around 12 months experience to join them. This is a small vet and nurse team who work really closely together. The incoming vet will spend some time working alone so must be comfortable with some routine surgeries and be confident in their clinical judgement.

The rota is based around a 4 day week with 1 in 3 Saturdays. However, our client is flexible to discuss other working patterns around candidates availability.

Our client, located between Chatham and Gillingham in Kent, are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a first opinion, large and modern practice with 4 consult rooms; a dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room; a large modern theatre and prep room. This is a unique opportunity to join a super friendly team and work in a supportive environment that offers the scope for further development in your chosen area of interest. The 5 Vet team are supported by 6 RVN's, a wonderful reception team and a dedicated Practice Principal. They have an encouraging and supportive culture in practice and are very much focussed on their team's well-being - they are often treated by the lovely Practice Principal who frequently provides costa coffee and cakes for all staff. The role provides a varied consulting caseload that will allow the less experienced candidates to hone their skills but yet will keep the experienced vet candidates stimulated. Team work is key in this team with knowledge sharing on cases encouraged to ensure good patient outcomes. The team are also supported by VetCT tele-radiology as well as unlimited VetCT telemedicine support for those trickier cases. Surgery is on a rotational basis within the team with an interesting mix of soft tissue surgery, imaging and dentistry planned for surgical days, this is supported by a long standing and experienced nursing team. They also have the tools for basic orthopaedics available for suitably experienced candidates. Time is allocated for admin on a daily basis to allow for calls etc which allows you to concentrate on your patients during consult time, without the pressure of needing to squeeze admin in between. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Surgeon with a great work ethic and excellent communication skills. The ability to work well in a team, have a passion for all aspects of veterinary care and a sense of humour is essential. The team are also looking for a positive can-do attitude, and that you are an active team player. The full-time role is working 5 days per week, 1:3 Saturdays, no Sundays or OOH. However, the team are flexible and will happily consider the 40 hours worked over 4 days with 3 days off. Salary up to 45,000 per annum dependent on experience. Our client to the North West of Dartford are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their first opinion practice where work/life balance is very important to the team and as such the role is to work a rota of 3 week days, with a 4 day week once a month, and every second Saturday, with no out of hours. Our client has a beautiful purpose-built practice near Folkestone and are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join them. The clinic has digital/dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, in house laboratory. The practice is located close to good motorway links. There is also the sea and the downs on the doorstep. Eurotunnel is literally just down the road and there is easy access to the fast speed link to London (45 minutes by train to central London). The team has 4 veterinary surgeons with 26 years’ experience between them (3.25 FTE), they are looking for someone who wants to progress their career with the help and support of the wonderful team. There is a certificate holder in small animal surgery and is clinical coach. There are 7 nurses; 6 RVN's and 1 student. They have loads of experience and run their own consults and are passionate about their work. There are visiting peripatetic vets who come into the practice for orthopaedics and heart problems. The position is full time across 4 days, but the client is open to considering part time applicants. This is over 4 days 8.30am- 7.30pm. You would be expected to work 1:3 Saturday mornings, 9am-1pm but would receive a half day the following week to compensate. No OOH, as all is covered by Vets now. Day to day duties will be to provide excellent care to lovely clients and their pets. You will perform operations in the morning with a typical finishing by 1pm, then consults start at 2.30pm until 6.30pm. The vets have time in the afternoon consults to write up notes and contact clients. Consults are 15 minutes long, with double appointments for complicated cases and euthanasia to give you time to deal with the clients and not rush. The client is open to all levels of experience, due to being able to support less experienced applicants. You will be committed approach to your work, with a positive can-do attitude.
