Small Animal Vet Role with Support Available - County Durham

Our client based in County Durham are looking for a recent graduate vet to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will be joining a friendly team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, all with a range of experience and varied interests. The team currently have Cert AVP qualifications, and two other vets working towards their qualification. Several team members have already completed VetGDP training, and the team have a long-standing culture of support and mentoring new graduates. They can offer valuable support and excellent mentoring, as well as exciting career opportunities.

This well equipped, purpose-built, RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital has all the modern equipment you would expect, including an in-house lab, digital x-ray, dental x-ray ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopy. The 24-hour nursing team remain on site to offer outstanding inpatient care and they have achieved the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Silver Award and were awarded Small-Medium Business of the Year County Durham Together Awards 2021.

The team are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join them. You must be someone who is keen to progress and develop yourself whilst also working as part of a team whilst encouraging and support others to do the same.

This is a full time role, working 4-days week with Saturdays on a rota, plus night duties and weekend OOH until 10pm with external OOH support offered outside these hours.
Flexible working will be considered to allow for work/life balance.

On offer for the successful candidate is a salary dependent upon experience with VDS and RCVS fees paid and a 1750 CPD allowance per year which is actively encouraged (more if you a certificate holder), and membership subscription. Plus 6.6 weeks paid holiday, including bank holidays.
