Small Animal Night Vet - Open to any rota, any hours and up to £70k pro rata

Our client is a well-respected out of hours provider near Cheltenham and are now looking for an Emergency and Critical Care Vet to join them.

The client is open to consider and days, hours or rota suit the candidates needs, nothing is off the table. Clients like this do not come along every day so this is a unique opportunity to achieve the work life balance that you have always dreamed of. Salary available is up to 70k pro rata but again this is negotiable.

The town is renowned for horse racing, festivals (Jaz, literature and music) and a thriving bar/restaurant scene. The practice provides a high-end first opinion care service for clients and practices in the local area. You will have access to hi-tech equipment including a GE 16-slice CT, high quality Doppler ultrasound (GE) with a wide range of abdominal and cardiac probes, multiple multi-parameter monitors, rigid and flexible endoscopy and full lab facilities including blood gas with training provided as required.

There are a team of 15 Vets and 20 Nurses. This is a busy first opinion practice, regularly performing referral level work such as TPLO's, thoracotomies and imaging such as CT, endoscopy and echocardiography. There are several RCVS Advanced practitioners in small animal surgery, cardiology and internal medicine and some of the nurses hold qualifications in nutrition and behaviour.

The role is a highly rewarding, working alongside experienced RVNs, dealing with a wide variety of urgent and critical medical and surgical cases alongside inpatient care. The ideal rota for the client would be 5 nights every 3 weeks, allowing plenty of time off. You will be working from 7pm - 8am. There will be another vet on site until 11pm. You will be on site with an RVN throughout the night and there is a 2nd vet on call if required.

The successful candidate will be competent with sole charge and dealing with emergency medical.
