Our client in Surrey take in referrals within most small animal disciples so offer a fantastic caseload to work amongst. They currently have a vacancy for a nurse with a minimum of 12 months post qualification to join them.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse to work with a much more complex caseload than they see in traditional first opinion practice. Experience in referral practice is not essential as full support and training will be offered.
This role is offered on a part or full time basis. Part time applicants must be able to work a weekend on a rota basis.
Our client has a well-established practice with a “Village Vet” reputation for providing the highest level of service and value for all their clients. Established over 60 years ago, they are a small animal practice and as part of their ongoing commitment to improving their facilities, they are continuing to refurb and equip all three practices to the same high standard.
They are committed to continually updating and growing their range of equipment. As a practice they endeavour to set high standards and keep up with new developments to give the best possible patient care and excellent service to clients, with this in mind they have also achieved Silver Cat-Friendly status at their main branch.
They are now looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The working week will reflect as a 5 day per week plus a 1:4 weekend rota, with no OOH. The practice provide a varied working day for the nursing team, day duties depend on the shift but include anaesthetic monitoring, care of inpatients, nurse consultations, assisting reception, drug dispensing, lab work and maintaining a sterile work environment. The role will allow for great clinical exposure and the opportunity to work amongst a friendly and supportive team. Salary for the role is up to 27,000 per annum depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking confident team player who has great communication and organisation skills. You will be able to use your own initiative and be happy to delegate where required, but also muck in with the team.
The existing 7 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and experienced Receptionists. They have a family-like culture in practice and have embedded a true support and encourage ethos amongst the team.
