Our client is a based near Chichester is looking for a Full Time Experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them. The practice is based in a beautiful, small city within West Sussex sandwiched between the stunning south coast and the South Downs. Fantastic outdoor activities available and yet central London only an hour away by train with great transport links to Europe. All of the surgeries within this small group are well equipped and the team strive for clinical excellence. They also have multiple nurse training centres, certificate holders in orthopaedics, surgery, medicine, cardiology and imaging. There are vets with special interests in dermatology, oncology, ECC and dentistry making it an excellent learning environment. Across the group there 33 veterinary surgeons, a nursing team of 70 and a further 74 support staff. They are now looking for a first opinion vet to join this progressive team but will always consider further teammates with additional skills or those looking to develop specific areas. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, friendly and focussed on clinical excellence and teamwork. A 4 day working week plus 4/9 Saturday mornings, and occasionally Saturday afternoon. As part of a busy, experienced clinical team the work will be a combination of consulting and surgical first opinion work plus possible day duty shifts covering emergencies that present during the day. There is no OOH however you will do 1:9 weeks of in-patient care covering Monday to Friday evenings only. You will be a progressive and friendly team member who has already obtained a degree of general clinical experience. A drive for clinical excellence, teamwork and clinic care are essential qualities. Our client based in Colchester is looking for an additional Small Animal Vet to allow a better work/life balance for their existing team. With this in mind the practice are open to full or part time candidates with flexibility on hours and days required to suit your needs. The practice has fantastic facilities and equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, a new dental machine and the practice is constantly investing and open to exploring new passions and interests. There also are regular visiting specialists in cardiology, orthopaedics and internal medicine. There is a team of 3 full time vets and one part time vet, with varied interests including surgery, emergency and critical care and imaging. The nursing team consists of one full time RVN, 3 part time RVNs and 2 VCAs. The support team consists of 5 receptionists and the practice manager. The full time role would involve working 4 weekdays 8am to 6.30pm or 8.30am to 6.30pm with one day off each week. In addition to this there would be an equal share of the Saturday mornings, currently one in four, 8.30am to 12noon. There is no out of hours. Ideally you will be someone who wants to get involved in team work and progress your career. The day to day duties are varied and happy the client is support any interest that you have. All vets have regular consulting times and time for operating/dental/imaging. There are regular breaks throughout the day to allow for contacting owners, meaning that even for part time staff case continuity can be achieved. Ideally you will be self-sufficient and confident in all basic veterinary work. It is very important to that you will enjoy working as part of a team and share the teams aspirations to continually improve both your own and the practices clinical standards, through promoting the practices learning culture. On the edge of the Bristol Channel, just south of the City of Bristol, our client are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis. The position is full time with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no OOH. Your daily duties will include morning consults 9am-11am followed by operations/work ups and afternoon consults from 3.30pm-5.30pm. This is a small team who share responsibilities for all the day to day workings of this 1st opinion small animal practice. This is a 2 site practice based in Clevedon and Winscombe, each practice is staffed by a sole charge vet, an RVN and a receptionist. Both are well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, BP, laser therapy, full complement of Idexx machines, Procyte, Catalyst and Sedivue and the team work across both practices, approx 30mins apart. The successful applicant will have several years small animal experience and be fully confident and competent with all common 1st opinion veterinary work. In addition to your excellent clinical and communication skills, you will need to be a people oriented person, who is willing to support and guide your colleagues. Salary is dependent upon experience, 40k-45k, plus 5 weeks paid holiday, not inc Bank Holidays, 5 days CPD leave / 1250 CPD allowance per annum, and the usual VDS / BVA Memberships paid, company pension and private medical insurance. This position will be based at our clients purpose built surgery boasting great facilities with modern equipment such as ultrasonography radiography and inpatient monitoring equipment, on the outskirts of Bath. They have a small close knit team who work at both branches, to allow continuity for clients and their pets. The practice is surrounded by beautiful open countryside but also a short distance from the cities of Bath and Bristol. Cheddar Gorge is close by so if you are looking for adventure and want to give rock climbing a go that is the place to be. There is a team of four vets, four nurses who work a combination of full and part time hours. There is a vet who has a certificate in imaging and a nurse who has a nutrition certificate. There is an open door policy, so if you need any help or advice or simply want a chat there is always someone around to help or listen. The right candidate would be encouraged to develop their skills knowledge and understanding. The full time position has no on-call rota. Part time applications will also be considered and there is flexibility around days / hours. Starting at 8:30am you will have time to catch up on calls/emails and also a catch up with colleagues to discuss any cases that you need to share with others or seek further advice on, you then either do a morning of consultations or surgical/medical work. Following a mornings work you get time for lunch and to finish any outstanding work. The afternoon consists of consultations until 6:15pm and finishing for the day at 6:30pm.
