Our client has a practice with a truly family feel and a team that really enjoy their working days together. There is a wonderful dedicated 5 Vet team working closely with the fantastic, experienced team of Veterinary Nurses and the warm and friendly support staff. Working together in a large, purpose-built practice that provides a really light, spacious, modern and low stress environment for the team to work in.

The practice is a 100% Small Animal, with a varied caseload including orthopaedics. The clinic has a progressive attitude and are inclusive in their approach to change. The team work up their cases thoroughly and understand the importance of continuity for both client, patient and clinician. The client has a wonderful, loyal client base who you will grow to know well during your time. A large number of the clients have been with practice for many years and take advantage of the fantastic pet health plan, which is great for offering affordable, preventative care.

The county is a lovely rural county to live in and accommodation is plentiful and reasonably priced. Cambridge and Milton Keynes are an easy drive and London a short train journey. If you want to enjoy doing your job, working with great people, have plenty of time to talk to your colleagues and your clients and still have plenty of energy left to enjoy your time outside.

The practice has all the equipment you will need when you come to work in a quality practice. Dental suite with digital x-ray, new ultrasound with colour, two K-Lasers, digital x-ray, endoscopy, full in-house Idexx laboratory, gold standard anaesthesia using Humphrey ADE circuits, multiparameter monitors, patient warming, oxygen generators and more. The clinic uses Sevoflurane and Alfaxan as our anaesthetic agents.

The client is big on supporting the team and over the years have helped many new graduates gain valuable confidence & knowledge to help them in the early years of their career! The practice is proud to be able to continue this and therefore as a Senior Vet Surgeon, some of your role will include helping mentor recent graduates. With this in mind you will need to be confident with all aspects of first opinion care and be self-motivated and confident. Your role will include a fantastic mixture of consultations and surgeries and no two days are the same.

The current staff are encouraged and supported with all CPD up to CertGP and AVP level and currently have one AVP in medicine and two studying for AVP status in orthopaedics and dentistry.

Full or part time hours would be considered for the right candidate. Working 4 Days per week, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and no OOH’s and no Sundays. In return for all of your hard work the client offers an attractive benefits package including a salary of up to 55,000 depending on experience.

You will be experienced and confident in all first opinion duties. You will support others and be happy to help with some mentoring. You will be self-motivated, confident, a great team player and be committed to upholding the highest standards in client and patient care. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients is essential.

Our client is looking for an experienced Head Vet to join their super caring team in Kettering. The ideal candidate would be confident and competent in all soft tissue surgeries and basic orthopaedics and will be happy to mentor and guide less experienced team members. The role would offer a great opportunity for vets who have a surgical bias. This is a fast-paced small animal practice and it can get very busy, often with a high surgical case load. It is spacious and well equipped, including digital x-ray, consult rooms, separate kennels, cattery, prep and theatre. The client has a dedicated Head of Practice and a very support team, with over 50 years’ experience between them. The practice is just 30 minutes to the large market town of Northampton, with the fantastic Rushden Lakes shopping centre. In addition, they are just 30 mins to Luton Airport. You will benefit from a generous salary and bonus scheme. The role is full time - 40 hours per week with 33 days holiday a year and no OOH or Sundays. A generous CPD allowance of 1.5k per annum or the client can provide financial support to certificate attainment. RCVS fees are paid and VDS cover is provided for all vets. Our client who is based near Northampton, are you looking to expand their first opinion and referral caseload. The local area offers a wide range of sporting, recreational and cultural activities for all, with great links to London and Birmingham. There are three practices within the veterinary group with interesting cases and support from certificate holders in small animal disciplines. The practice require two full time MRCVS qualified veterinary surgeons with a passion for gold standard animal care and providing an exceptional service to their loyal client base. The first role will be full time and include weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota. The second position is for a full time experience vet working 4 days on and 4 days off. You will be working within a fully equipped practice alongside a dedicated friendly team with an approachable and supportive management team. Video endoscopy, advanced doppler ultrasound and digital radiology are also available on site with access to CT and MRI scanning.
