Lead Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy - Central Lincolnshire, Circa £60k

Our client in central Lincolnshire require an experience veterinary surgeon to head up the team in this brand new practice. Initially this will be sole charge, however there is an expectation that the practice will grow quickly and additions vets will be recruited.

This role will suit a veterinary surgeon who is ready to make that next step in their career to Lead, or Senior Veterinary Surgeon. For those vets who do not have leadership experience, support will be offered by the practice owner.

As this practice is brand new, an excellent client manner and great all round clinical skills are of major importance to help rapidly grow the local reputation.

The role is full time, worked over a 4 day week with 1/3 Saturdays.

The package will depend on experience however, this client offer fantastic packages compared to the majority of the industry. Certificates can be supported in most small animal disciplines.

Our client who is based near Grantham are looking for an experienced vet to join their team. The team consists of two vets and the practice has a very varied caseload and are able to offer CPD and support to encourage anyone who would like to develop an interest or even study towards a certificate. The practice also have 4 RVN’s, and other support staff. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work up a varied caseload with a mixture of animals. The surgery is purpose built with digital x-ray, ultrasound, Class IV laser, Ortho, V-Gel, Idexx Lab inhouse, PRP harvest, multi pram monitoring. The practice is award winning both in client care and gained ‘Highly Commended’ in the Veterinary Wellbeing awards. They have RCVS GP status This is a full-time role, which will include Saturday mornings on a rota but there are no OOH’s with this position. The practice is closed on Sunday’s allowing for an excellent work/life balance. The practice believes that clients and patients welfare is at the heart of everything they do and strive to provide an excellent service to them. Our client in Central Lincolnshire have a vacancy for a small animal veterinary surgeon with 12 or more months experience to join their tea, This is currently a 2 vet practice (including this vacancy) so there will be some requirement for sole charge work. There is also a local, sister practice which will require occasional cover as well. There are no routine OOH's and the rota is based around a 4 day week with 1:6 weekends. This is a well equipped, busy practice with a high level of insured clients. The caseload is interesting and diverse.
Our client is looking for a new experienced small animal vet to join their team near Grantham. The practice is looking for an additional vet as one of their team members is returning home to Europe. The business is also growing and due to this continued success, this is the ideal time to find a new team member. This is a full time role for approximately 40 hours per week, generally working 4.5 days but this can be a four day week if you would prefer. The practice is also open to applications from part time candidates, with shifts and hours to suit the right people. There are no OOH's, Bank Holiday's or full weekends offering an excellent work/life balance. Vets Now provides the out of hours and weekends consist of Saturdays only, on a 1 in 4 basis, with time in lieu in return. You will be joining a 4 vet team. The practice works to 15-minute consultations minimum and extended consults can be catered for, for more complex cases. The diary is organised with plenty of room for appointments, emergency block offs/on the day appointments, breaks, catch ups and time for phone calls. There is also a fairly constant stream of tea and coffee to keep you going. The practice has a range of equipment including dental machine, digital x-rays, and ultrasound. The team is friendly and supportive, and have a wide range of knowledge across the Vets and RVNs. The team pride themselves on discussing cases and sharing opinions, communication is a really important part of the day to day and they encourage openness and teamwork but also the freedom to explore your own cases as you wish. CPD is a generous allowance and encouraged for personal progression and that of the practice. The client two practices are close together but are close to the town centres. Both practices are equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG, as well as all the basic necessities for a first opinion practice. They have a visiting referral orthopaedic Vet, who joins them on a need to basis to perform some surgeries for them. Both practices have a separate dog and cat ward to minimize the stress for our inpatients. They are both equipped with reasonably sized theatres and consult rooms and offer generous reception waiting areas. They have a range of loyal clients, many of which are insured which offers great opportunity to work to a high standard. There are also clients with lower incomes so it is important to be able to adapt to suit, so that they still receive the best care they can give. Overall, the clients provide an interesting and varied caseload. The role is not currently suitable for a new graduate Veterinary Surgeon, as candidates will be required to work independently without support at times. They will need to be able to undertake all manner of routine consults and surgeries on a sole charge basis. The practice is seeking a competent experienced Vet who is able to work by themselves. It’s located on the coast in an area near the North Lincolnshire Wolds and has excellent link roads, making it easily accessible to several international airports. You will be joining a team of very experienced and supportive staff, where group discussions about cases are encouraged. The clinic provides a 24 hour service to clients and there animals, which includes a rota for nurses to provide on-site cover overnight to care for hospitalized patients and assist the duty vet with emergency calls. Our clients are a well established and busy practice on the South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire border, easily accessible from Doncaster and Lincoln area, with 2 branches. Keen to recruit a new small animal vet, with a surgical vet to take a lead role in developing the surgery within the practice. The caseload is busy first opinion with some routine orthopedics including pinnings, plating, cruciates and patellas.
