Our West Yorkshire based client require an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team in a lead vet capacity.
There will be some sole charge in this role, working with a small team of nurses and support staff. Therefore the successful candidate will be happy with most routine oft tissue surgical cases and medical work ups. It is expected that the successful candidate will have around 3 years experience. Ideally, candidates will be looking to complete a medical based or surgical certificate.
The practice is a well equipped small animal, first opinion branch with 3 consult rooms, digital X-Ray, ultrasound, full labs etc.
This role will suit a vet looking to expand their experience into business management and well as clinical excellence. It is a gateway to larger scope management roles or partnerships in the future.
The rota is a 4 day week with 1 in 3 weekends. 39 hours per week.
An exceptional package of upto 70k will be offered and a vehicle is available if required.

Full time hours would be based on a 40 hour week across 3 and a half days with either 1:4 full weekends or 1:2 Saturdays. Part time would also be considered.
Ideally you will have 2 years plus experience, and be capable to work autonomously. In return they would offer a generous Salary dependent on experience and 2k CPD allowance with 6.6 weeks holiday. They are more than happy to invest in new equipment for supporting interests and can discuss certificate support. They also have close ties to the referral side of the business and attain continuity of care for patients and the ability to follow the cases through, with access to the diploma team for CPD too.
This role will be attractive for vets living in Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Dewsbury, Brighouse and Wakefield as transport links are excellent.

You will be joining a team of over 20 vets who have varying interests and hold a variety of certificates. Due to the nature and size of the business you will gain broad exposure to a varied caseload within a friendly and supportive team.
In return the client offers a competitive salary, generous CPD allowance with 4 days per year to attend events, 33 days holiday and an additional day off for your birthday and a noncontractual bonus scheme. addition to your salary vets receive a top up payment for each weekend worked and two days off in Lieu the following week.
