Junior Veterinary Surgeons required for Fantastic Client in South Yorkshire

Our South Yorkshire based client are looking for junior vets to join the team following the growth and expansion of their new surgery.

The new building has been purpose built to hospital standards and offers a dedicated OOH's service. Practice equipment includes DR Radiology, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound with colour dopler, Flexible endoscopy, 2 operating theatres, electosurgery, Capnography, Piped oxygen, Autoclavable oscillating saw and Orthopaedic drill.

Offering all the services you would expect from a local small animal practice with in-house lab and diagnostic facilities, this client is a community-led, family-focused veterinary clinic serving the pets and people of South Yorkshire.

The current team is made up of 6 vets, including the co-founder and Clinical Director who has an interest in emergency work and orthopaedics, plus 8 nurses and 2 ANA's. Between them this experienced team have interests in: soft tissue surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, imaging, medicine, ECC and feline medicine.

The team are looking to mentor and support both a new graduate and a recent graduate. You will have the full support of the whole team as you continue to learn and grow as a
Veterinary Surgeon. You will become comfortable with routine surgical procedures, cat and dog neuters, lump removals etc. The team encourage vets to follow cases through and to give clients continuity and so you will learn to be confident with your own medical work ups and case continuity.

These are full time roles but don't include OOH's (the new dedicated OOH team handle that).
There is a 1:6 weekend rota working full weekends (8hrs on a Saturday, 5hrs on a Sunday) with a full day off during the week following this long weekend and 1:6 part weekends (2hrs on a Saturday) with half a day off during the week following this short weekend.

The successful candidates will benefit from a competitive salary commensurate with experience, 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, vets will be required to work bank holidays as included on their rota but will receive a day in lieu for this. RCVS fees paid plus access to the Company's Healthcare and Pension plans.
