Independent Practice, Small Animal Vet Vacancy Large Team Of Surgeons

Our independent client in Gloucestershire have a vacancy for a small animal veterinary surgeon in in their main hospital.

The successful candidate will work with a large team of surgeons and nurses, the larger team is made up of 13 vets and 13 nurses so lots of clinical support to discuss caseload etc.

The rota is a 4 day week with 1/3 Saturdays.

CPD will be offered in any small animal discipline upto certificate level if that is of interest.

There are no OOH's with this role.

Practice equipment include;

  • Video otoscope
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Rhinoscopy
  • Orthopaedic suite
  • Dental suite
  • Untrasound and Digital X-ray

There is also a regular, visiting Diplomat in diagnostic imaging.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full or part-time veterinary surgeon to join our client’s hospital in the beautiful Cotswolds, close to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath. The practice actively encourage you to develop your interest in any area that you are interested in. The practice hold weekly veterinary team meetings to discuss cases and gain further understanding including presentations by a referral clinician. The client also has links to a local referral hospital nearby where CT and advice is readily available. This would be a full or part time position which would include an OOH service, with support from the nurse team stay on site and take all calls. Vets work a 1 in 6 weekend rota. The team includes certificate holders and those currently working towards certificates. The practice encourage and support development of your personal aspirations as part of a progressive and experienced medical and surgical team. Competitive salary package. CPD is actively encouraged and generously funded. Package includes 5-week flexible holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off every year. Generous days in lieu after weekend working. Good workload but allowing for an excellent work-life balance. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years experience with small animals. You must have MRCVS registration. Our client is seeking a part time Veterinary Surgeon to join them at their practice near Bristol. The practice is fortunate to be based in a spacious, recently refurbished Edwardian house with a large garden at the rear and on-site cattery/grooming parlour. The main hub of the practices is the redeveloped modern clinic on the outskirts of Gloucester city centre with separate cat and dog wards and intensive care facilities for the critical cases. On site is a fully equipped lab, imaging suite including state of the art digital x-ray machine, endoscope and ultrasound machine. The practice have an extensive range of surgical equipment and expertise to be able to use this to it’s full potential. The team are looking for a candidate capable of sole charge to allow full coverage of the rota across the 4 branches, all within close proximity. This is a full time position working 9-7pm with morning consults 9-10:30am and evening consults 5-7pm with ops 11-2pm, sometimes longer if emergencies. They have no on-call OOH and minimal weekends. Our client is a well respected and established referral practice based in Gloucestershire. They are seeking a clinician with a high level of experience in internal medicine, to join their team of Specialists and Advanced Practitioners, to provide a client focused clinical medical service. Residency trained and/or Board-certified ECVIM-CA or ACVIM (or RCVS Diplomate) desirable but not essential. The practice are developing and expanding their already established medicine and oncology service with a large caseload. The position would be taking an integral role in this development and would ideally suit someone wishing to work within an experienced advanced practitioner team. The practice is established multidisciplinary referral clinic situated 20 minutes north of Bristol and 20 minutes south of Gloucester and Cheltenham in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds yet close to the M5 and M4 corridor. They are a small, dynamic, cohesive team comprising of clinicians in internal medicine, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology and diplomates in soft tissue surgery, dermatology and cardiology.The practice is undergoing an exciting phase of expansion, including new clinical services and facilities.
