Independent Practice seeks Experienced SA Vet for 3 Vet Team - South Birmingham

This fantastically independent practice in South Birmingham area and are looking for an experienced SA vet to join their team on a permanent basis.

Being a small, family-minded practice all the staff have a real interested in providing a truly individual service with empathy and care. Many of the staff have worked here for many years and as such have built up great rapport with their clients.

You will be joining a team of 3 Vets, 6 RVNs, 2 trainee VNs, 3 Receptionists and 1 support staff member. The director and owner of the practice has a special interest in small furries and soft tissue surgery.
The practice has separate waiting rooms, and kennel rooms for dogs and cats, to reduce the stress for pets who have to stay in the practice. They can also provide separate kennels for rabbits and small furries. They have an isolation room with underfloor heating for infectious or very sick pets, to ensure that they are kept away from other animals and are provided with the best possible care. OOH care is provided by a nearby practice to ensure the team can provide round the clock care to their clients.

Ideally this is a full time role, working an average of 40 hours per week over 4 days (8.30am-6.30pm) with 1 in 3 Saturdays (8.30am-12noon) and a day in lieu the following week in compensation, however my client will consider all other reasonable working patterns and so please get in touch to discuss this in person.

The successful candidate will be experienced and confident with small animal first opinion work, basic ultrasound/orthopaedics experience would be a welcomed bonus but this is not a deal breaker.
A generous salary is on offer of between 40k-60k - dependent upon experience. Plus CPD allowance, RCVS fees and 1 membership paid, Company pension, 5 weeks paid holiday plus Bank holidays and cost price treatment for your own pets who you can bring to work if necessary.

The practice has great road and rail links and is easily accessible from Kidderminster, Halesowen, Bromsgrove, Solihull, Redditch, Royal Leamington Spa and Coventry.

Our independent client in Shropshire are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary surgeons to join their OOH team and expand their current team. Located in an award-winning building in Shrewsbury this site is an exceptionally light and airy facility and makes a very pleasant environment in which to work. You will be joining a team of experienced day and night vets who are supported by a very experienced team of qualified veterinary nurses. The team are looking for small animal vets with a minimum of 2 years experience to join them on a 7 on 14 off shift pattern as the team provide round the clock inpatient care. Our client has a well-respected group of practices in the Birmingham area. They pride themselves on looking after their team and are now looking for a Full Time Vet to join them. The clinic is well equipped with digital x-ray, ECG, BP monitor, Ultrasound and full idexx lab. The team have a huge interest in supporting their local community. They treat local school pets for free and often get involved in community work. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality clinical care to all pets, providing an outstanding client experience and help to create and maintain an efficient clinic. The role involves a mixture of surgery and consults each day and minimal sole charge. Working week is over 4 days with a share of Saturdays and no OOH. You will be confident and professional, you will be able to work with sole charge.
