Full or Part Time Small Animal Vet
Our client is a well established practice who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Small Animal Vet with a keen interest in Internal Medicine to join us them 2019.
You would be joining a friendly team, consisting of 4 full-time Vets, 4 RVN’s, 3 SVN’s, 3 Receptionists, 1 Administrator and a Practice Manager. The practice is busy, situated in Hemel Hempstead (Hertfordshire), with lots of nice countryside around, as well as easy access to London and all major motorways and airports.
They have a high level of modern equipment including in-house laboratory, video endoscope, tonopen, ECG, digital X-Ray and an MyLab 25 Gold E-SAOTE ultrasound scanner. Separate cat and dog wards and all rooms are air conditioned.
The rota allows for a good work/life balance averages 40 hours per week over the year. A regular working week is approximately 36 hours and includes a day off. Part time applicants would be considered.
The Saturdays are worked 1:2 and are either half (08:00 - 13:00 h) or full (08:00 - 17:00 h) days. The practice is closed every Sunday. The practice incorporates Vets Now, which provides great continuity for our friendly and loyal clients but also frees you from out-of-hour duties.
The role comes with 25 days holiday per year, plus an extra day (birthday leave) on the day or nearest day to your birthday, on top of every single bank holiday. CPD is encouraged and well supported with an excellent CPD budget and additional staff benefits. The development of specific interests is encouraged and supported including study to certificate level. The experienced vets at the practice would be mentoring our new graduates. Private medical insurance is also part of the package. The client requires a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience and will offer a competitive salary, which will depend on experience.
The client has a low staff turn around with over half of the team having been working with them for 10 years plus.
