Head Nurse, Brand New Branch Practice
Our client are seeking an enthusiastic, client focused Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them as Head Nurse. This would initially be a single nurse role but will quickly grow. Our client already have a training plan in place to develop the successful candidate. This will be particularly useful for those candidates where this will be a first HN role.
The practice is in an affluent suburb of Nottingham and they expect to see a high proportion of insured clients.
The practice, currently under construction will have 2 consult rooms, cat and dog wards, separate prep and ops rooms. It will be equipped to a very high standard to deliver an excellent client/patient experience.
The role will be attractive to nurse who are looking for leadership roles but may not yet be ready for enter a a practice with a large, established nursing team.
Our client are happy to pay up to 32,000 plus a very generous benefits package for the right candidate.
The rota is based around a 5 day week, 8.30-5.30 or 9.30-630 with 1 in 8 full weekends.

Our client is looking for a Clinical Director to join their team on a full-time basis near Mansfield.
This small animal, first opinion practice is a spacious and well-equipped site, in house lab facilities, ultrasound and diagnostics. There is a friendly, dedicated team with an array of experience levels. Currently they have five Veterinary Surgeons, four Registered Veterinary Nurses, three Student Nurses and a good team of Veterinary Care Assistants. There is a Senior Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in orthopaedic surgery and a junior Veterinary Surgeon doing a certificate in small animal surgery. They encourage professional development and are happy to consider supporting any professional interests or certificate goals.
As a Clinical Director you will see a varied caseload with a good mixture of surgery and consultations. The role would include the day to day running of the practice, mentoring and a varied share of the surgical and medical cases. They have team members studying towards or who have achieved certificates, so they welcome more complex cases. They are very supportive of career progression and training may be available if you are a Senior Veterinary Surgeon looking for the next step in your career. The working pattern is flexible, 4 or 5 days per week, Saturday mornings on a rota basis and there are no out of hours with this post. Salary: up to 66K DOE plus benefits.
They are looking for an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with extensive experience in both surgical and medical management. The ideal candidate would be someone who actively encourages further development and demonstrates enthusiasm and drive. They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who practices good medicine, has extensive clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team members.

They practice has received additional outstanding awards in the RCVS practice standards scheme in both Client Care and Patient Consultation Service. They are a long-established small animal practice on the Nottingham/Derbyshire border, with great access to the countryside and surrounding area. They are entering an exciting period of growth and expansion at the practice with increased facilities coming soon.
You would be joining an experienced team of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 8 Receptionists, and an Animal Care Assistant. This is a busy well-equipped practice with an excellent array of equipment available for you to use and they have a certificate holder in Cardiology.
The role will involve working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days. There will be 2 Saturday mornings in 8 weeks on a rota basis. There are no emergency out-of-hours shifts as this is covered by Vets Now. You will have the opportunity to work up your own cases with the help and support of the team if needed.
You will ideally be passionate about taking an active role in the practice. They are looking for someone who is confident with surgical and medical cases but is looking to further develop their skills and interests. They would look to support and encourage the right candidate to further develop their surgical skills.

Close to Nottingham, this lovely two vet team are looking for a third vet to join them in their growing practice.
With a really varied caseload including a good proportion of exotics, they are seeking someone with some initial experience, who is capable to manage basic consults and routine surgery.
They are able to offer support and have an advance practitioner in both surgery and exotics who can mentor and develop in these areas, however all interests are welcome and ideally a medical bias might compliment the rest of the team.
