The practice is located in a small town in Hampshire with excellent road and rail links. The clinic is situated within 5 minutes drive of the M3, J5, and 3-minute walk from the local train station, which is on the mainline to London Waterloo/ Southampton Central.
The practice has a very loyal client base, with over 70% of their clients enrolled in their pet health club. The clinic is a thriving practice, which has expanded over the last 2 years. The practice is well equipped with digital x-rays, dental x-ray, brand new Esaote MyLabX7 ultrasound, K-Laser and in house IDEXX lab. The team are currently planning to move to a new purpose-built building which will be equipped with a CT scanner and multiple theatres.
The team consists of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animal Care Assistants, and 4 Receptionists. They actively encourage the team to further their skill set. If you want to do a certificate, they can support and fund your aspirations. There are also existing certificate holders in companion animal behaviour and cardiology and there is a visiting orthopaedic and soft tissue specialists.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out consultations and surgery working collaboratively with a strong team of experienced vets and nurses to give the highest levels of patient care. There is no sole charge the ensure that the team to ensure everyone feels supported at all times.
The full-time rota will include working on average 4.5 days per week with a share in the Saturday mornings which are fully staffed by 2 vets, 2 nurses and receptionists and a day off is given when working Saturdays. There are no out of hours or sole charge with this role. They will also welcome applications from part time candidates, work/life balance and comprehensive mental health support is a priority here. The salary will be up to £60,000 depending on experience. You must be RCVS Registered and eligible to work in the UK.
