A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon, to join a dedicated team just 45 mins north of Bristol.

This client has 4 practices located between Stroud and Gloucester, with the main hub of the 4 practices being a redeveloped modern clinic on the outskirts of Gloucester city centre with separate cat and dog wards and intensive care facilities for the critical cases. On site is a fully equipped lab, imaging suite including state of the art digital x-ray machine, endoscope and ultrasound machine. The practice has an extensive range of surgical equipment and expertise to be able to use this to it’s full potential.

Across the 4 sites the team of 6 Vets and 9 Nurses work closely together sharing knowledge and experienced and are looking for an equally experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join them.

This is a full time position, working a 4 day week with 1:4 weekends but no OOH. The team are able to be flexible as to which practice their new vet will be based in depending on what you as an individual are looking for - either to manage a smaller branch or work within the busy main practice - either way though you will need to be flexible when it comes to holiday / sickness cover and be happy to work sole charge on occasions.

My client 45 mins drive North of Bristol have a modern hospital on the outskirts of Gloucester city centre, and are seeking Vets to work either full or part time, or somewhere in between! They are ideally keen to recruit vets with 2 years plus experience, (from a starting salary of 45k for 2 years) THEY ALSO WILL OFFER A GOLDEN HANDSHAKE OF 4K The main site has great facilities, sperate wards and waiting areas, cutting edge intensive care facilities including patient CCTV. They are equipped with a full imaging suite, lab and of course Digital X-Ray and ultrasound and various scopes. They have a medicine certificate holder and also possess a wide range of surgical kit so they can keep as many cases as possible in house. They have three other sites in the area and the team of 6 Vets work closely with the nurse team, of which there is a heavy ratio of nurse to vets, so there is always plenty of nurse support. A full time position, is based on working a 4 day week with 1:4 weekends ( part days in practice, but with the phones cover till 5.30 on Saturday and a 2pm finish on a Sunday) but no OOH, but the practice are flexible to discuss working hours depending on your requirements. They are also able to discuss roles working in the hospital or majority running a smaller branch depending on your needs, but you would be required to work across 2 of the 4 branches. and should be happy to work autonomously. Our Independent, multi vet client in Gloucestershire have a vacancy for a 2021 new graduate small animal vet. This client has a history of developing new graduates and they have interests in most fields including large amounts of orthopaedic surgeries. Our independent client in Gloucestershire have an opportunity for a veterinary surgeon with some GP experience to join their team. The outgoing vet who has decided to complete an externship was developing his more complex surgical skills. This role could therefor suit a vet with similar aspirations, although this is not essential. The Owner of the practice currently handles a large quantity of complex and orthopaedic surgeries and is happy to develop junior vets. Ideally this would be a candidate with 3 or more years who is happy top step into a lead role position and to head up a small team of nurses and another veterinary surgeon in this branch surgery. Our client in Cheltenham require an additional veterinary surgeon to join their multi vet team. The successful candidate will be comfortable to with routine surgeries and medical case. The role involves working across two sites in the Cheltenham area and a vehicle can be provided if required. This would be a full or part time position which would include an OOH service, with support from the nurse team stay on site and take all calls. Vets work a 1 in 6 weekend rota.
