Full/Part time Veterinary surgeon to join progressive team working towards certificates

Lovely, small but progressive client based 30 mins train ride from London and easily accessed from Stevenage, Luton, Hertford areas.
Looking to recruit a new vet to the close knit team. With the vet studying a surgery Certificate and nurses who hold certificates in Feline and exotic medicine, the practice see a varied caseload including lots of small furries.

You will be experienced to work in sole charge and the ideal compliment to the team would be someone who is medically minded, maybe with a dermatological or exotic interest, however this is not essential.

Hours and rota can be flexible depending on requirements, but full time would be 35 hours a week with NO OOH's, and they can be flexible to discuss shorter hours over 5 days if required. They can offer a great salary package including private healthcare, pension, paid memberships and generous CPD up to certificate level.

Our client in North London is looking for a veterinary surgeon with a minimum of 12 months experience to join them. As a suitable candidate you must be comfortable with routine, soft tissue surgery and medical work ups. Ideally you have also considered what certificate is of interest. Our client can comfortably support soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, medicine, ECC and imaging. Complex surgeries include regular spinal work and other com You will be joining a nine vet team with a large team of nurses, including nurses with advanced qualifications. The hospital is superbly equipped up to CT level for imaging as well endoscopes, full dental suite, orthopaedic theatre, and much more. Package will include: Salary upto 55,000 1500 CPD Professional fees paid Most bank holidays off Wellbeing support Enhanced maternity and paternity leave You will work a 4 day week which is made up of 2 days consults plus 2 days Ops/ward work. Our client in North London are hiring an experienced veterinary surgeon, 5 years minimum experience to join them in a lead vet capacity. As well as regular day to day duties, this role involves taking the clinical lead of two junior vets, both less than two years experience and the small nursing team. The junior vets are super keen looking forward to having some hands on development. Candidates must be comfortable with most routine soft tissue work as well as medical work ups. Ideally they will have started or will be looking to start a certificate. The client will fund this. Candidates should also be interested in helping drive up client numbers through making sure all the team offer great care and service. The client base is heavily insured and typically their clients are happy to follow their vets lead when it comes to treatment of their pets. Our client has a busy 24 hour RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital in Barnet and are looking for a Full Time Vet to join them on a permanent basis. The practice is based in the heart of Barnet with shops and tube lines going into London. There is a sister branch nearby where you may be required to work on occassions. The current team of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 17 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 7 Veterinary Care Assitant's, a Reception Team, and a Practice Manager and see a varied caseload. The practice has fantastic facilities including x-rays, dental x-rays, laparoscopic equipment, hydrotherapy, a full range of endoscopes, and ultrasonography. The current Vets hold certificates in cardiology, Surgery, and Small Animal Internal Medicine. The nurses also have certificates in Anaesthesia, ECC, and Exotics. The team are now looking for a full time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon and your duties will include consulting and operating but this will differ throughout the working week. The rota will involve working 42.5 hours per week over 4 days. The shifts range between 8:30am-7:30pm with weekends being on a rota basis; 1 in 6 Saturday mornings until 1/2pm and 1 in 6 full weekends (Sat anad Sun 8am-6pm). As part of this role you will also be required to cover 1 week of nights every 8-10 weeks, starting at 6pm and finishing at 8am. A QVN and VCA will be on duty with Vet and they will take the phones, triage inpatients and call the vet on-call if required. Its best to assume the Vet will be in practice from 6pm to 11pm . When everything is under control the vet has the choice of going home or staying in the duty room. This is a 7 day shift of nights and you will be then back on your day routine the day after. You will be required to work at the main hospital and 1 or 2 of the branches - everyone covers the odd shift at other branches depending on holidays/cover. Ideally you will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon who has experience being in sole charge with a Nurse or Veterinary Care Assistant. This well equipped small animal first opinion practice a have a vacancy for a veterinary surgeon to join their three vet team. They are able to consider most skill levels but candidates need to me comfortable with some routine surgeries such as routine neuters and be happy with medical workups. Practice equipment levels are very good with digital x-ray, ultrasound, separate cat/dog wards, dental studio, isolation, full labs. They are able to offer their loyal client base excellent levels of first opinion care. The successful candidate will work a 4 day week with 1 in 3 Saturdays. Our 2 vet client in the heart of Hertfordshire have a vacancy for a veterinary surgeon to join their small, tight-knit team of 2 vets and 3 nurses. The successful candidate will be happy with routing surgical and medical cases and be confident with their clinical judgements. Support is of course, always available if needed. There will be occasions of sole charge so again, candidates must be happy with this. The practice is well equipped and able to easily handle the majority of first opinion cases with digital x-ray, dentistry, orthopaedic kit, endoscopes etc etc. Further, more advanced equipment is available at the sister hospital. The rota is based around a 4 day week with 1 in 3 Saturdays. Support is also given a couple of weeks per year as second on call at the sister hospital.
