The clients practice has been established in the local community for over 60 years. They have recently undergone a major refurbishment and now offer a purpose-built surgery, within walking distance of the modern and historic city of Norwich. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them.

Norwich has excellent transport links by air, rail and road to Europe and the UK. The practice is within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads, beautiful surrounding countryside, and a coastline of wonderful beaches. Norwich has been named by The Sunday Times in 2021, as one the best cities to live in.

This is a friendly, dedicated team - progressive, supportive, and keen to develop the team to ensure that they provide their patients and clients with the very best care and service. The surgery is committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services for companion animals and family pets. Modern facilities enable them to provide a wide variety of services including 2 operating theatres, diagnostic imaging, digital x-ray, cardiac imaging, CT scanner anticipated soon, ultrasound, orthopaedics, dentistry and much more.

This full-time position carrying out a mixture of consultations and operations. You will be expected to lead areas of specialism if you are an experienced veterinary surgeon, as well as consults for illnesses, injuries, vaccinations; support from the experienced vets is available to for professional development, in working up cases and improving surgical skills. The caseload is varied- great role for Certificate holders or those wanting to start a certificate in the near future. The shift pattern is 40 hours per week across 4 days, working between 9 am - 7pm. We operate a rota system with weekend work 1:4; there is no OOH duties. Salary is up to 55,000 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in, learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to shared learning and development. Both experienced surgeons and graduates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience would be welcome.
