Our client based in Stockport is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse or a final year Student Veterinary Nurse to join them.
The clinic first opened its doors in 1966 originally as a mixed practice but changed to 100% small animal clinic in 1997. They have 3 RCVS accredited small animal practices within the local area. Each site is furnished to a high specification so that our high standards of care are uniform across all three sites. All three sites are just a short distance from the centre of Manchester and alternatively close to the beautiful Peak District National Park, giving you the best of both worlds.
There is a fantastic working environment which is credit to the wonderful, friendly team, which is made up of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 2 Receptionists, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant and 3 support staff. There is a varied caseload which includes routine, preventative, and some emergency and critical care. The team pride themselves on providing excellent inpatient and client care and case continuity is important to them as it builds a great rapport with wonderful clients.
The practice value every member of our team and encourage their Veterinary Nurses to put their training and skills to full use. No two days are the same and you will spend your time split equally between surgical and medical nursing cases. Details of working days/times are detailed below.
• 37.5 hours per week (over 4 days)
• Shift times are 8am-6pm or 8.30am-6.30pm
• Saturdays on a rota basis 8am-4pm (time back in lieu)
• No OOH’s or bank holiday requirements.
• A salary up to 22,500 (FTE 40-hour week) is on offer for the right candidate, dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with some post qualification experience although a final year SVN will also be considered. The successful applicant will be able to work as efficiently both when working alone or as part of the team. They need someone who is reliable but also fun too. The team are very friendly and are eager to help in any way to support a new member of the family.
