Due to our client’s continued successful they are looking to recruit a full-time night vet to join their team.

The practice is part of a group of practices, they are a small animal based, first opinion veterinary hospital accredited by the RCVS in 2016. They strive to keep their gold standard care towards patients and clients, as well as offering top of the range services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

This is a full-time position working 7 nights followed by 14 nights off (7pm-8am). You must be a hardworking, passionate individual who is keen to develop new skills. You must be able to work as part of a team, as well as alone, provide exceptional medical and surgical care and bring new ideas to the team. CPD is encouraged and funded. Our client has a successful and well-established clinic near Spalding and due to continued success are looking for a full time experienced Small Animal Vet to join their team. The role is based predominantly at the main hospital however it will also include some branch work. There is a large and varied case load of both medical and surgical cases, and you would have clinical freedom. The practice has a spacious, well equipped hospital and three satellite branches. The current team have vets who have completed or are studying towards further qualifications in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, ECC, and ophthalmology. Cases are discussed daily at clinical rounds and support is always available. The hospital has recently been extended and is well equipped with top class imaging (digital x-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound, video endoscope including laparoscopic kit), a wide range of surgical and orthopaedic equipment including Ex-fix and TTA kits, four sterile theatres, dental x-ray, ECG, tonopen and slit lamp, Class 4 laser, extensive lab, spacious dog and cat kennels and a large isolation area. Each branch has biochem, haematology, UA and microscope, a sterile theatre, with imaging available. The role would be split between consulting, operating, work ups, hospital/inpatient care and out of hours duties. Sole charge will be required during out of hours and occasionally during branch shifts. There is a high orthopaedic caseload through the practice, and there would be room for another surgeon to develop their skills in this area. Equally an interest in imaging would be encouraged. Postgraduate studies in all areas are encouraged and supported. The position is for 42 hours per week, weekends on a 1:4 rota and OOH’s which normally equates to 7 nights over a 12 week period. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated vet with some experience. You will be skilled at communicating with clients and colleagues and share our passion for excellent client and patient care. You will be able to work within our busy team to provide the top-quality veterinary care that you are proud of. Confidence with sole charge OOH shifts is expected. An interest in orthopaedics would also be an advantage but is not essential. Our client is a long-established, small animal practice in a semi-rural setting very close to the historic market town of Newark. They are now looking for a Full or Part Time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The role will include a good mixture of consultations and surgical work but it can be more focused on consultations if this is what you require, they offer 15-minute consults. Ideally this role is Full time for 40hrs per week but the client is flexible and so is open to consider part time applications. Weekends are on a rota but there are no OOH. Our client in Scunthorpe would like to recruit an additional vet to join their hospital team. Ideally the candidate will be experienced, minimum of 12 months, and they are happy to consider full or part time working patterns. Our client require an experienced vet looking to work just one weekend every 6 weeks, however this could be increased if that suited the candidate. As a hospital there are always opportunities for overtime as and when required/requested. This is a busy hospital and the work on the weekend is sole charge. Candidates must therefor be happy with working as the sole charge vet alongside an RVN. Our client would like a confident veterinary surgeon to join them. This role would involve mentoring a newly qualified veterinary surgeon so applicants must be happy with most routine cases both surgical and medical. Orthopaedics are not required as these can can be covered locally, however candidates interested in this area are welcome to apply. Our client will welcome candidates wanting to start certificates, part way through certificates or indeed, completed. They will fund training and will also buy out existing training agreements if they are a barrier to candidates applying for new roles. The practice located in a lovely village 20 minutes from Lincoln was recently refurbished and is equipped to a high standard with digital x-ray, ultrasound and full labs. They have all the equipment needed to provide a full first opinion service. They are also happy to provide additional funding for specific equipment vets feel they need. Th rota is based around 4 full days with 1:3 Saturdays. Our client offer industry leading packages, up to 80k, excellent CPD packages including certificate funding, VDS, RCVS Fees etc paid and 5 weeks holiday. Our client is looking for a new experienced small animal vet to join their team near Grantham. The practice is looking for an additional vet as one of their team members is returning home to Europe. The business is also growing and due to this continued success, this is the ideal time to find a new team member. This is a full time role for approximately 40 hours per week, generally working 4.5 days but this can be a four day week if you would prefer. The practice is also open to applications from part time candidates, with shifts and hours to suit the right people. There are no OOH's, Bank Holiday's or full weekends offering an excellent work/life balance. Vets Now provides the out of hours and weekends consist of Saturdays only, on a 1 in 4 basis, with time in lieu in return. You will be joining a 4 vet team. The practice works to 15-minute consultations minimum and extended consults can be catered for, for more complex cases. The diary is organised with plenty of room for appointments, emergency block offs/on the day appointments, breaks, catch ups and time for phone calls. There is also a fairly constant stream of tea and coffee to keep you going. The practice has a range of equipment including dental machine, digital x-rays, and ultrasound. The team is friendly and supportive, and have a wide range of knowledge across the Vets and RVNs. The team pride themselves on discussing cases and sharing opinions, communication is a really important part of the day to day and they encourage openness and teamwork but also the freedom to explore your own cases as you wish. CPD is a generous allowance and encouraged for personal progression and that of the practice. The client two practices are close together but are close to the town centres. Both practices are equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG, as well as all the basic necessities for a first opinion practice. They have a visiting referral orthopaedic Vet, who joins them on a need to basis to perform some surgeries for them. Both practices have a separate dog and cat ward to minimize the stress for our inpatients. They are both equipped with reasonably sized theatres and consult rooms and offer generous reception waiting areas. They have a range of loyal clients, many of which are insured which offers great opportunity to work to a high standard. There are also clients with lower incomes so it is important to be able to adapt to suit, so that they still receive the best care they can give. Overall, the clients provide an interesting and varied caseload. The role is not currently suitable for a new graduate Veterinary Surgeon, as candidates will be required to work independently without support at times. They will need to be able to undertake all manner of routine consults and surgeries on a sole charge basis. The practice is seeking a competent experienced Vet who is able to work by themselves.
