Full Time Small Animal Locum Vet

Our client is looking for a full time small animal locum whilst they recruitement a permanent member of staff.

Working a 4 or 5 day week, whichever would suit you best, you should be comfortable with consults and routine soft tissue surgery. Weekends will be on a rota but there no OOH's with this position. Accommodation can be provided if required.

Our rapidly expanding client in Portsmouth require an experienced veterinary surgeon, ideally 2-3 years, but certainly comfortable with day to day surgeries and medical cases. The large practice is very well equipped with dedicated dental and imaging suites, separate cat and dog wards and multiple ops theatres. There are no OOH's with this role and weekend that are worked are only 10-2 for which an additional day off in lieu is offered. A generous salary dependent on experience is offered along with, 1500 and 5 days CPD 33 days holiday including CPD VDS and RCVS paid Generous pension, childcare vouchers and cycle to work scheme.

With at least 2-3 years experience you would confident in all aspects of routine practice. Locum Vet needed from 26th July - 30th August 2019 at a lovely practice in Southampton, Hampshire. This is a full time role with the possibility of some weekend work but that can always be discussed at the time of booking. Our client based on the South Coast of Hampshire are looking for a locum vet to cover full time from late August 2019 ongoing whilst they recruit for a permanent member of the team. They have an in house Ophthalmology referral service and visiting Orthopaedic and Exotics consultants. CPD is actively encouraged and funded. The position does require Out of Hours cover as part of the teams commitment to their loyal clients and there is 24/7 on-site VN support. To give the greatest flexibility to the team the OOHs weeknight / weekend rota is shared between 8-10 vets in different combinations, and so no more than 1:8 and with generous time off in lieu of OOHs work.
