This rapidly expanding, independent, RCVS accredited, single-site surgery on the coast of Somerset are looking for a clinically competent and experienced small animal vet to join their team, a medical bias is encouraged but not essential.
Currently a 2.5 vet practice this 100% small animal site are focussed on client care and as such have very loyal and friendly clients and an interesting and varied caseload.
All the usual toys including digital and dental radiography, extensive in-house lab, laser, incubators, tonometry, BP, ultrasound and scanning table. Building facilities include air-conditioning and 2 recently refitted spacious consulting rooms.
CPD is supported and encouraged with the team having sufficient equipment and caseload to support Certificate Level study - their Vet Director is currently undretaking a PgC in SA surgery - and as such further equipment purchases will be considered if sufficient use can be demonstrated.
OOH'S are covered by the practice and their own team of Vets and Nurses.
Nurses provide residential in-patient care as required and also run clinics for routines and prophylactics.
This is a full time position over 4 days with 1 weekend in 4 and 1 night each week on-call.
Salary is dependent on experience with RCVS fees paid and a generous CPD allowance as part of the package. Accommodation can also be included as part of the salary package if required.
5 weeks holiday allowance plus Bank Holidays.
