Full Time Nurse Manager near Sittingbourne

Our client has a group of 3 small animal branches in Kent and are looking for an enthusiastic and caring RVN to work at their busy practices near Sittingbourne in Kent. The clinic has excellent facilities such as digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and brand-new in-house lab with a well-established team of friendly staff at all branches. With great train links to London, award-winning Blue Flag beaches and Elmley Nature Reserve nearby.

They have a long-standing team of 4 Vets, 4 RVN, 1 SVN and 5 support staff working across the 3 sites. The Vet’s interests vary from medicine, orthopaedic surgery, ultrasound, and a GP certificate in Cardiac Ultrasound. They encourage their Nurses to use their skills and knowledge within the practice with nurse clinics, advising clients about their pet’s health and welfare and supporting the Vet team. They are very much a community-based group and are looking forward to being more involved in local events now restrictions have been lifted. The team of experienced and friendly RVN’s are happy to share their knowledge and skills with those who seek it.

They are now looking for a Permanent Nursing Manager to join the team. Yu must be a Qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse. The role involves both aspects of nursing and management of the day to day running of the clinic. They are an adaptable practice and open to positive change, this role being a key part of that offering the opportunity to develop nursing clinics whilst using initiative to promote new ideas to better their service. The new Nursing Manager will have great work life balance with this full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, along with 1 in 4 weekends and no OOH. Salary for the role is up to 27,500 per annum depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have small animal experience and some management experience however the practice will provide support with management training. They encourage career development and welcome applications from clinical coaches or nurses who wish to be more involved in the management of the nursing team. They are hoping the new Nursing Manager has a positive can-do attitude and is an excellent communicator.
